Check your electrical system…

voltage spikes will burn out filaments. The hottest (like headlamps), are the most easily damaged. Check for AC ripple from alternator and wiring to the lights, including the ground. Both burning out at the same time is indicative of a problem. KennyV

Are you positive the low beam filament is gone or is it that neither will light?

If you break a wire on the drivers side of the headlight connector, neither light will come on.
