Nick,
Remind me never to visit your shop/garage, wherever you store your cans.......toxic waste, potential bombs.....

From talking with 2 mechanics in my family & a small engine shop I use, they all agree on Seafoam.
I've never had issues with non-ethanol gas that is in the cars over the winter. I did top off the tank when first driving them in spring.

Nice link. I went to it & in about 2 seconds you get a freakin pop up ad.

It would be nice to see before & after photos of how you got it, all dusty/dirty, & then cleaned up.

Fishing.........GO FISHING ! Buy a rod and a reel and a tackle box. I have done antique cars for over fifty years. Many wonderful people doing antique cars. I just wish I had gotten to know fish far better than I do now. Or antique clocks. Many many challenges doing old clocks.
23Hack,
I like your fishing comment so much that I am offering a personal invitation to you ONLY. I plan a fishing trip every year to northern Minnesota in late September. At that time of year, if the weather cooperates, you can see why they call it God's country. You are welcome to join us on this trip. Approximately 12 to 20 guys come from around the country for a long weekend. PM me for details, or we may end up hijacking this thread.

Jeff,
Now that you have the car, when can we expect photos?

Mark,
About 30 years newer. It's a '68

Is there anyone in or near Myrtle Beach, SC that could look at a car I'm interested in? I'm in MN and that's a little too far to drive and look at it. I could pay you something for your time.
DON'T NEED HELP ANYMORE. Thanks to those that offered.

Not mine. Maybe someone here would want it.
3rd Generation heirloom - Barn find!! Sleeping classic prewar 1923 Maxwell (Touring). She's a beauty just waiting for you to get her running and drive in a parade or car club perhaps??
☛ Engine manually cranks easily and has been turned manually on a regular basis
☛ Have letter written by my grandfather including his wishes, with photos of him and my mother
☛ Have a classic advertisement poster
☛ Original parts including tire tools, glass, even the original wood floors
☛ In incredibly well preserved original state
☛ Slight surface rust only
☛ Extra original crank lever
☛ Needs new tires (rubber) which run around $200 a piece. Negotiable on how we might handle the tire situation. I know of one particular brand which is commonly used but felt I should give the buyer a choice, as I am no expert. (503) 901-8333 -
The J198 may be for 1978, not 1968. I believe the 010 block was cast/used through 1979 & I think there is a KS suffix code is 1979 also except it would be CKS.

3970010 Small Block V8 1969 302, 4 bolt, Camaro Z28

Wrong. The Z28 302 was an 010 block, but the engine ID suffix code for the Z28 engine is DZ, not KS. He may be mis-reading the code - HS instead of KS. In that case it's a 255 hp 350 in a Nova or Chevelle.

The no title will make the Studebaker more difficult to sell. It would make sense to me that the family or their attorney apply for a title or claim "lost title" and get a new one. It will make the car more saleable and the actual sale of it far less complicated to the seller and buyer.

That is not a car.......and it’s not a parts car. It’s iron oxide.
Yes, but it's all original & nearly complete iron oxide.

Brian,
You must be watching your post here since you replied to SparkEE above. I'm curious as to why you haven't replied to my post/request. For your convenience, here it is:
Call me a skeptic, but how about a little proof of your story. Post some photos of the rare GTO you bought & of this car, cleaned up & running.
In a previous post, you started out "you won't believe this". No, I don't & I'm sure others here don't as well. Prove me & the others wrong.
Thank you,
George Smolinski

I thought you'd like my reply, Jack.

Questions - Are you Art Miller since your ad says you purchased the car?
Or are you selling it for Art Miller?
For $105,000, can you post better photos of the car? The ones posted don't do it justice.

Not to sure why any one if fixed on location and price.. If you want it.. buy it..
Price is the biggest factor with location right behind it. The reasons for fixation on the two are some sellers think their car is worth way more than what it really is so why waste time dealing with them and I sure as heck don't want to get all excited about buying a car only to find out it's 2000 miles away from me or somewhere in S. America.

If you don't want to see an ebay auction listing that has been posted on this site, don't click on it.
Sometimes you don't know it's an Ebay ad UNTIL you click on it. Here's an example I just found: 1913 Reo Roadster (barn fresh)
There isn't even a link to Ebay, just the item number.

I realize some posts are from members that don't own the car, but put it on here in case someone here is interested. Sometimes you can't tell one way or the other due to so little information. If you're posting because you don't own it & spotted it elsewhere, there are 2 little words that will clear that up - NOT MINE. I've used them numerous times.
I like the suggestion Ronnie made about CL ads. I suppose Ebay ads could be handled the same way.

The "Cars For Sale" forum here seems to be attracting more Ebay sellers than previously. Post 1 photo, include the link & don't supply any other information. It would be great if you couldn't post without price & location. I've seen other sites where that info is required; no info, you can't proceed. I've also seen sites that delete ads with improper or missing information. Can we petition the admin to change the posting rules so price & location are required to proceed with your ad?

I know of someone who bought some cars through BJ. In that forum, you buy high & sell low. I know of 2 he sold at far less than he paid for them at BJ. I believe the people buying cars there are more about who has a bigger pair than really wanting or needing the car they're bidding on.
