  1. Tossup between the Ford and the Chevy. The Ford  looks like the nicest one of the bunch, but I owned a ‘37 Chevy once, so I’m a little partial to it. Would have to touchy freely both before deciding. I think you have more negotiating room with the Chevy and Buick. Chevy for sitting20+ years. Buick for the road rash, bumps and bruises.

  2. I wanted to post the 1947 Chrysler Coupe a member didn't know how to do. He sent the info. I copied & pasted to the "New Topic" in "not mine". Ok so far. Went to add his photos & they turn upside down when I add them to the listing. They're right side up on my computer. I even tried turning them upside down on my computer hoping they'd be right side up in the post, but no. How do I fix it?

I bought the Lincoln and wanted to say to all of you that you are all spot on.  Although some are more blunt than others, all of you are correct, However I agree with John Blooms approach the most.  I appreciate All of us that still love these vehicles.  I sometimes think we are dinosaurs and the meteors are falling, but I will enjoy all the time I have left driving with the top down and meeting all the personalities that share this passion.  I will try and post some pics.

Can I say "You are welcome" & "I did that" since I posted it? Glad to see some fruit from my small amount of labor.

Take, for example, the horrible interior on this $59K car.

The only thing I noticed was the buttons on the seat bottom did not "blend" in with the material pattern on the seat, and the pattern on the buttons was cockeyed. Once noticed, it will bug you every time you see it.

You were adding a lot of frictional costs on the sale of that truck.  Is there anything specific you have for questions about consigning?

Also, are you going to place it in the auction with a reserve?  If so, you’ll be spending a lot of money to maybe not sell the truck.

Trucks seem to be pretty hot right now, I think they might be better ways to sell it.

What does it cost to consign? I would guess it's a percentage.

True about the reserve, but scary with no reserve.

What better ways would you recommend to sell it?

  7. My brother & I have no experience with buying or selling a vehicle through one of the large collector auctions. We have a 1969 Chevrolet C10 CST, complete restoration that we want to possibly sell through the Worldwide Auction, 9/1-9/3 at Auburn, IN. This is if we don't sell it prior to the auction. We're looking for someone to represent us & the truck who has experience with the auctions. Our thoughts are to list the truck for sale on various sites, plus sign it up for the auction. If it sells before the auction we assume we'll lose the entry fees & we're fine with it. If it doesn't, we're signed up for the auction so we'll have it there.

We need a representative/hand holder, possible transport of the truck to the auction, and any advice based on experience. We are willing to pay a fee for the hand holding, transport costs of the truck to the auction, and the auction fees.

We will also pay a commission if the hand holder sells the truck for us prior to the auction.

  8. I found this on 1 of my FB groups. I don’t have a clue how to get the web address from my IPad to here. I’m sure if you Google Aumann Auctions, you’ll find it. Please post if you do. I’ve looked at the photos & I see a couple I may bid on.
