  5. i got the pulley off aok but having trouble with the water pump. any secrets or is it burt force?
  6. The pulley needs to come off to change the fan belt. Removing the water pump makes it easier to paint. We removed all of the bolts but still did not come off. I suspected the pulley is press fitted in place. Just would like that verify before we apply force.
  7. i am going to paint my 26 motor and want to remove the water pump to get a clean job. the motor is out of the car and near ready. however i can't remove the fan belt pully and water pump. Can someone hep?
  8. this is what we rigged up to pull the rear wheels. basicly had a large thick threaded washer machined then used a gear puller to pull the wheel off.
  9. we decided not to disassemble the spokes. we'll sand the spokes then clear coat and paint the metal with POR15.
  10. how do we (Brett and I) remove the center hub so I can get the metal parts powder coated?

  13. i am restoring my 26 and am having the frame and other part powder coated shinny black.
  14. i am in the process of doing a frame off restoration and am having trouble removing the rear wheels to replace the brake pads. i remove the bolt but the wheel stays put. i suspect a clip or something holding it in place. can someone please advise on how to remove the rear wheels, spokes and all? thx carl rose sugar land texas (713) 882-2322
  15. I replaced the original carb with a new Zenith with an acc pump. For some reason it is very difficult to cold start. I have to spray lots of starter fluid. I suspect the motor does not create enough vacuum to properly operate the carb. Can someone recommend a good carb and/or suggest a fix for my current carb? Thx!
