What a great photo. Makes me ashamed to think the kids and I thought we were camping when we jumped into the 40 ft Diesel pusher and went to the Indy 500 every year.

Next time you post something that was on the cover of Hemmings like it was hidden in your personal archive I'm calling you out too!
If most of us haven't seen it, it's fair game!! Remember we are on page 348 and I can't remember page 340!!!

My wife and I went to France twice a year for 15 years and obviously loved the people, wine and food. You brought back fond memories. Great car show. Thank You

From a non toy collector, these are great. Glad I am too old to start a new collection.

More space is not a solution, you fill it rapidly.

I talked to Carl often as we both had unrestored 63 series Cadillacs . Over the years I think I learned his entire life history including losing a small fortune when his mother fell for an investment scam. He also had health problems that he didn't dwell on. I will miss him greatly Take the Covid cause of death with a grain of salt. If the health facility has any chance of adding the Covid diagnosis to the death certificate Medicare adds 15% to the payment and a positive Covid test is NOT required If Carl had received even a single Covid shot his chance of dying from Covid is extremely low. Also the rare break through cases after vaccination are rarely severe or cause death. I can only strongly second rocketraider and encourage everyone to get vaccinated. Remember: SH** HAPPENS and "The road of life is paved with flat squirrels who made the wrong decision!!"

I hope this story has a good ending. Carl has had more than his share of bad luck in his life. Praying for him!

I thought I had seen that posted before but forgot about your sheet music thread. It's hard to keep a thread going when you have most of the material.

1947 Ford PU at age 14. In Iowa you could get a special permit to drive to school at 14 if you lived on a farm. Of course we all abused it and drove everywhere. Three years later I dropped a 51 Merc motor in it with dual carbs and home made headers. Sure wish I would have kept it.

Thanks Terry. Good advice. We all like everything to be perfect. After all these years my wife suggests I'm not perfect either. This is part of my stash that was placed in CC storage when we moved to the panhandle of Florida in 2000. Because of humidity and hurricanes I left a large amount in storage. Little did I know that helping raise triplet grandsons in Texas for the past 12 years would consume so much of my life. So now I am starting t go through my collection and I can probably keep several threads going for a while. Some of the stuff I have no recollection where it came from although the Ford Truck banner came from the Indy Advertising Show prior to 2000. I am getting ready to have it matted and framed. More to come.

19 Garford truck from my Garford file. Under Willys ownership Garford trucks were produced through 1933 when production of the trucks and the Willys Knight automobile ceased and production shifted to the inexpensive Willys 77. Thanks to 1937hd45 for stimulating my research. I don’t think I have ever seen a Willys 77. The photo posted earlier was in a box of family photos.
