1. Not to split hairs...(he said as he began cutting... ) because I agree with both Yellow and MyTC....I think the the short fuse yellow was referring to is the same poor behavior that TC Toy is pointing out. I too have seen this more and more lately where people seem incapable of disagreeing in an agreeable way. I know that part of that is due to the inability to gauge the intent of a response by body language and voice inflection... all but impossible with this type of communication. But still... knowing this is the case and being adults (giving everyone the benefit of the doubt... ) I would think that we first should err on the side of patience and greater clarity in our discussion..rather than pull the trigger on an innocent bystander because we had a bad day. Leeway and respect should be given those who are our elders...whether it's in age, knowledge or experience. I have noticed that the forums that are smaller, tighter-knit, with a more focused common interest seem to behave more like a family... that argues a lot, lol .. I will say that the TC forum here seems to be one of the few exceptions to the rule though. Must be because of our superior intellect (after all..we were smart enough to know a cool car when we saw it!!)
2. Very cool Larry!! It would be neat if we could see some pics of the progression of the project!! Keep us updated!!
3. Very nice Lou!! Looks like she just rolled off the showroom floor !!
4. wow..for a minute there when I read the title of the thread I thought someone had developed some kind of new ionic-drive TC and their radion collector/attenna was broke...phew..
5. Gail...still have not received MO and have made numerous attempts to contact you through pm's and email. Do you still need this part??
6. Gail, if you didn't get my pm, you can email me at bnemo@charter.net
7. I think I might have the entire assembly including the window. Let me take a look tonight and see if I can locate it....
8. ahhh.....the holy grail of the TC world.....Good luck with that
9. Maybe car_chick has ulterior motives (wink wink..) j/k and I'm sure CC was kidding as well Car_chick...sent you a pm
10. Are you referring to the rear quarter window??? Which side, driver or passenger???
11. I think camc61 is concerned that someone may have swapper trannies. I think Louz has had experience with the TC trannies and any idiosyncrasies with filters and such. MyTCToy, what would be the easiest/best way to confirm what tranny is in a TC. Is it common to get incorrect tranny filters like Camc did?? I have a 90 3.0 and was thinking about a filter and fluid change on my as well....I would like to avoid this kind of issue if I can....
12. JayJay, Do you still have this?? PM me with details if you can. Thanks MB
13. Pictures man...PICTURES!!!... Without pics it never happened!!
14. Now THAT,Scott, is a true beastie!!! Nice car!! I have always been partial to the early 70's Chargers,Challengers,Cudas and Roadrunners!!

Oh, Well!

Superbee or Cuda!!! If that was the case I woulda kicked EVERYONE in the garage OUT!!!LOL I probably wouldn't have remembered the way home...at least for a day or so!!LOL
16. Well, I finally got my garage all cleaned and organized so I could get my two TC's in, with plenty of room for working on the motorcycles....now I have to make room for this beastie... so slide on over TC's ... make room for your iron-pumping muscled-up American half brother...a 73 Mach I Mustang w/47k original miles!! It's not mine though My father-in-law won this last week at a casino here in Michigan. He doesn't have room in his garage so I told him he could keep it here....I had to go with him to pick it up yesterday. A 90 minute trip each way. He didn't want to drive it home so I had to...(*sighs sarcastically..) Then when we got it home he said I'll need to start it from time to time and drive it to keep it in good running condition ... man..the things I have to do for my wife's parents Well I guess ya just have to make sacrifices when you're married, right??
17. Well...I went out and gave the vac lines a quick look on Friday. Didn't see anything loose. Started it up and it did the same thing. Saturday I pushed it out of the garage and gave it a closer inspection. Still couldn't find anything loose or disconnected. Had the wife start it while I was looking under the hood. Guess what... it started fine and kept running...sat there idling purring like a kitten. Took a spin around the block, got back and it still idled just fine.I'm glad it's running, but since my wife is going to be using this car as her daily driver, I need it to be reliable. Intermittent problems are the worst! ....must be I just had to intimidate it into running right..... LOL
18. This is really weird...Wednesday I got my 90 TC out of winter hibernation. She started easily , idled fine. I took her for a spin around the block and let everything warm up good. Parked her in the drive and let her idle some more. Shut her off and did some work on the window control switch. Started her up again, went for another short spin, pulled into the garage, she idled fine and I shut her off. Today I go to start her and she fires right up then dies! Started it again and feathered the gas a little and she runs, but as soon as I let off the gas it dies. I went for a spin around the block, she accelerates like usual, but as soon as I take my foot off the gas, she stalls.... any ideas where to start looking?!?!?

Anybody know a bass guitar player that can take my place?!?!!? Maybe we'll see if we can make it a day-trip on Sunday...hmmmm...
20. Hey John, if you do a search for the pulldown system on this forum you'll should find about a days worth of reading on the subject. If that doesn't clear it up for you then make another post with the symptoms yours is experiencing, that makes diagnosing much easier.
21. Hello, I have been searching everywhere I can think of to find an approx. value of this car. I have seen ads "for sale" that range from $1,500 to $15000 I am trying to help my father find an approximate value for his car, it's a 1979 Lincoln Towne Coupe (not a town car) Interior is in EXCELLENT condition Exterior is solid no rust/paint is very good, could use a good buff and wax has 80,000 miles, strong smooth running 400 engine. Everything is original and stock. She runs great with no mechanical issues. On scale of 10 (10 being right off the showroom floor) I would put this one at a high 7-low 8 Here's some pics... My father wants to get at least $4000 for this, is that realistic ?? Any ideas/ thoughts out there??? Thanks Brian
