  1. They must be owned by Coker as the same email was sent verbatim. the vintage tire business is quite a racket and so much horrific quality. I avoid them as much as possible!
  2. Onstar is awful! And is always trying to reduce the population one customer at a time!
  3. Older millennial here! Smartphones are so much better and I use it more that I do my computer. I bought a iPhone 13 pro max 1 tb of storage. what does this mean? Larger type area and much larger screen and great photos which I upload and have printed for albums. I also take great quality video and write emails and post on aaca with it. what’s great is if I am stymied on a car project I can look up how to do it on the phone as I am standing next to the car. Heck I even have a great flashlight and measuring tape on my phone. Let alone the fact I have great speakers and 20k songs. And of course Waze! I grew up in a time with the phone hooked to a wall. I can’t imagine or want life without it now Gasp! Quite frankly it was a huge hassle and much more time consuming when I had to have several different devices handling everything.
  4. 16 years ago I was able to track down my grandfathers 1948 Lincoln Continental. He bought it in 1974 and sold it in 1991. Back then dmv had a request form for a record that a copy would be sent to the owner. I requested the cars records. The paper was sent to the owner, I wrote my number on it. luckily it was still in California about 3 hours from me. It was not in the condition from 16 years before (brakes went out when I was test driving it!) and after some negotiation over a month I brought it home! it is possible but I had a few things working for me: 1. When it was sold it was already a classic car 2. it was still in the same state 3. I had the current vin/data plate. Remember it was common for cars of the 40s and before to have a new Id number assigned by the state. 4. the plates on the Lincoln were still the same. It was also still registered. 5. and it was only 16 years with this tow truck it’s been 90 years and with the wwii scrap drives many pre war cars but the dust 6. lots of those cars had wood in their construction and succumbed rather quickly.
  5. Back in the day with eBay it was a free listing for vehicles unless they sold. Recently i tried tried to sell my white 82 imperial on eBay and elsewhere. eBay charged $79 and it didn’t sell. I did get a bunch of crank emails about how I priced it above NADA etc. what they neglected to see was that anything and everything has been done in the last two years and I’m only the second owner. I had it up for 5k with about 7k in receipts! People are cheap and don’t realize that something that is mechanically sorted to a T is worth every reasonable dollar.
  6. Can now be walked on! Garage install set for 2/22!
  7. I’m planning on it! But we don’t have snow at all in my area. And the cars that are going in this garage won’t ever be taken out in bad weather.
  8. Final cleanup today. Install of the building will be on 2/22!
  9. Lifts aren’t allowed in our jurisdiction even so I wouldn’t have one as we have earthquakes here!
  10. And so far this morning after city sign off!
