. . . just bite the bullet Jason, and invest the $80 !!
-
Don't yah just luv it, when things work the way they are supposed to !!
. . . neat video too.

They also have nylon screw in type moulding clips available too - not sure of a supplier, but the screws replace the metal 'T' studs that usually break off from exposure to corrosion. You simply drill a small pilot hole for the self tapping stainless screws. The nylon clips are also not as prone to rusting like the bare steel clips.

I have never fully understood the logic behind certain cars being chosen to be replicated by the various manufacturers in any scale - while I'm sure they have definite reasons for choosing some cars, some diecast renderings defy all logic. Hopefully, someday we'll get to see additional Rivieras available in 1/18 scale !

+1 on the Krylon 1403 - Used it on the plastic headlamp bezels, pot metal tail lamp and parking lamp bezels, in addition to detailing the entire plastic grill on my '68 - 20+ years later, they look like they were just done !! I also used it to refurb the entire plastic grill on my '89 Chevy PU - it still looks new, but the truck doesn't.
I swear by that stuff !! LOL
Sez: Interior/Exterior on my rattle cans.

Here's something a little more current on v8buick and a different vendor.
-
They may not be the greatest sellers, but they are definetly handy to accessorize hats, T's, jackets, or whatever, and they also promote the ROA at just about any event you may happen to attend - nearly everybody notices my ROA black, embroidered, cloth patches !
Perhaps we might convince Ray to reconsider a re-order in a smaller quantity, so they sell out sooner, but smaller quantities is probably not as economical.
(...sooner or later Jim's secret, private stash will run out, then what ?)
Those ROA black, embroidered, cloth patches will then gain 'collector' status, and any of us fortunate enough to have some of them squirreled away, can get filthy rich, by asking exhorbitant prices for them on 'evilBay' - and soon, bogus, counterfit, poor quality, copies will start appearing from everywhere, and flood the market !! LOL

Good "used" from a donor Riviera - or possibly the fuse block is common to other GM makes too ? Had similar corrosion problems, but the fuse holder lugs, and contacts were intact, and just needed a good cleaning

Welcome to the ROA section of the AACA forum, and please do check out the ROA website as others have advised, when you get a chance. It will probably be the best investment you can make, next to a proper shop manual for your '66 GS!
New chrome ralley wheels are almost 'unobtainium', so good 'used' will probably be your best source, and shipping to France will be very expen$ive as they weigh a lot, and require rather large shipping containers.
Good luck with your '66 Riviera GS !!

A gorgeous car, in great condition, with lots of nice photos.
Makes you appreciate those first generation Rivieras !!

Saw that one - exactly what I'm after.
Contacted the seller, but seller, and 'evilBay' will not accept bids or offers from Canadian members.
Thanks for the heads up though dadphelphs, much appreciated !!

Both the engine production code number, and the trans. code number are shown in the upper left corner of the P-O-P for the '65 model, in addition to the VIN number, and other info about the vehicle, as Tom stated.

He is a member on v8buick.

x2 for Mike's repro window stickers !!
I've have seen several examples, and they look just like the originals.
Anybody looking for a repro window sticker should checkout his website.
As Al stated, Mike is also a good Buick guy to deal with.

Hello and a big welcome to the ROA Michael !!
While I'm partial to second generation Rivs, I have developed an appreciation for all the model years, thanks to the many fine members of the ROA.
Your '67 looks absolutely great, and must be a treat to drive !
Happy motoring with the ROA !!

Hello and Welcome to the ROA from Canada Lasse.
As Al has stated Rivieras can be contageous, and hazardous to your wallet !! LOL

My knowledge of speakers is limited to what I have read on the net Jason. Supposedly you can get away with using 8 ohm impedence speakers, if 10 ohms are unobtanium, but do not use a 4 ohm replacement, as it will fry the power transistor in the radio.

Caught your post 'n pics on v8buick Rob - gonna l@@k really sharp !!

x2 on lubricating the window regulator, glass channels and pivot points. Sounds like something is binding, or not running freely !
-
You can get new replacement rubber inserts from most auto parts stores in random lengths, and you cut them to the length required to replace the old rubber portion of your original blade.
An inexpensive and easy fix, and you retain the look of original blades !
-
Something else - if you do end up taking the door skin off, (...and you may not have to, after following Ed's advice), free up and lube the window pivot points and tracks while your in there, before you replace the outer door skin !
power window motors
in Buick Riviera

I know there is a large fuse on the fuse panel, on my '68, as the motors draw a fair amount of power, maybe check that first - not sure of the location, or set up on the '65s. The motors must also have a proper chassis ground via the power window motor mounting bolts to operate.
