  6. 40 Olds Model 60 Coupe Need new running boards (the whole enchalada not just the rubber matting) I have the originals but they are very rusty - maybe okay for patterns? Does anyone reproduce these as complete boards and/or do they cross any other GM car? Also need a hood ormament - plastic on mine is broken as is half the metal 'sphere' that goes around it from the front. andyfuhrman@rocketmail.com

    Reliability Tour

Not sure there is a Chalmers yet on the tour - would like to have you there! Andy Fuhrman President Richmond Region AACA
  11. Glad to hear good responses to our proposed agenda! As far as a cut-off we can comfortably take 60 cars give or take. We are triple checking our trailer parking to make sure we have plenty availible. Please watch Antique Automobile for that Tour Request! Andy Fuhrman-President Richmond Region AACA
  12. Gas aside - for a moment. I'm still encouraged that I once again own a hobby car that is coming together enough to drive this summer and it hasn't cost a fortune. I had to get something to actually put gas in first! Even better there is a decent cruise night less than 3 miles from home.
  13. Holy Cats! Good for the brothers, but Holy Cats!
  14. Come to the AACA Reliability Tour - August 27-31 in Richmond Virgnia! Almost everyone there will be 'cranky!'
  15. February 27th - new brake lines, wheel cylinders & master cylinder. Plus shoes relined and everything cleaned up. New gas lines are also run - tank is out for cleaning and repair. Flea market radiator tests good too with a little soldering. Picking up used but donated tires this weekend. Can't say enough about the volunteer helpers - my heroes! I optomistically suspect about another month of tinkering and it will be on the road?? Andy
  16. Thanks for keeping after us! Franklinman - I will email you our tentative plans this week. The 'official' tour request will be in the next Antique Automobile magazine. We had a very busy booth at the AACA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia - lots of potential tourist picked up information there. Andy Fuhrman President Richmond Region AACA Save the dates - 8/27-8/31 - Reliability comes to Richmond, Virginia-(home of the Kline Kar.) We'll be visiting Civil War sites, Plantations, botanical gardens, museums, car collections and more! Don't miss it! Look for the ad in Jan/Feb Antique Automobile <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
  17. Great time - trade show vendors pleasant as always. Really enjoyed and was impressed by the Penn College students and faculty. They are becoming valuable 'partners' of our AACA Museum and to the hobby in general.
  18. Car show, flea market and car corral. Richmond International Raceway - Richmond, VA, Saturday. June 16, 2012 - rain or shine! Please visit www.richmondaaca.com and click on 'CAR SHOW' for more information, a downloadable flyer and photos from last year's event. GREAT SHOW - DON'T MISS IT!
  19. It was in the Hyman Classic Cars tent at 2011 Hershey - next to the Duesenberg and the St. Louis. There was a big crowd around it all week!
  20. I never expected this kind of response to my questions - it's great! Meanwhile the 40 Nash is over a friend's place with the head off and valves out to be ground. I've been blessed with a lot of hands on help in addition to my cheering section here. I have some parts at home to be wire brushed and spray painted and my kids help me with that. I'm going to buy some engine paint, plugs and wires and a couple tires and tubes next month. Took the Region on a weekend field trip this past Saturday visiting a collection of cars and other good stuff stored in old factory downtown. Nice weather so several drove old cars; everything from Pierce and Jaguar to Model A and Mustang, all 'in the hobby.' It was a great time and it was free! Spent the day with good friends looking over some old cars. Let's all hang in there.
  21. Does anyone know what became of the cars from the Sturbridge Auto Museum in MA? I visited there many times as a kid and recently found some old photos and postcards from there. Mr. Harold Kenneway was the owner and always gave a brief talk before you went to look around - smart man. I believe he was a chemist. At one time I heard Heritage Plantation had some of the cars but I can't confirm that. There was a 39 Packard Darrin, an Imperial touring car and of course Kenneway was a known Pierce Arrow buff.
  22. Sorry - for the slow response West - YES - a hub tour - and really relaxed too. Look us up in Philadelphia for details. Hope you guys can make it! Andy
  23. I am really pleased with all the responses! My happy band of volunteers and I continue to work away at it all - we'll get there. Thanks to everybody!
  24. Save the dates - 8/27-8/31 - Reliability comes to Richmond, Virginia-(home of the Kline Kar.) We'll be visiting Civil War sites, Plantations, botanical gardens, museums, car collections and more! Don't miss it! Look for the ad in Jan/Feb Antique Automobile
