  1. An old hillbilly friend told me once, "Funny thing. You know if you don't use something it don't break." I know these things are handy but I have gone back to using power cord tools. ( I had a Maketa cordless drill back when they had the long thin batteries.) No batteries to charge. No quitting in the middle of the job because of a dead one. (Unless it is the tool operator. 😬) I've found it is easier to have a cord handy. I hang mine with long loops. it is easier to handle and does not tangle so bad and often just a few unwraps gets me enough length to get where I'm going. Waiting for a dead battery to charge is like waiting for paint to dry. Batteries are way too expensive for these things, and life's way too short for the extra time it takes messing with them.
  2. Very Cool. Welcome to the world of vintage trucks. Get it running and driving and leave the rest alone and you will have a crowd magnet. 😁 Yes. GMC used the 6 cylinder Buick engine for a time.
  3. I just took a harness out of one recently. The power wire came off of the hot side of the light switch if memory serves me correctly and was fused. The other wire was to ground. The light wire was wired in with the dash lights. Dandy Dave.
  4. Point taken. As long as it gets here by Christmas. πŸ™‚
  5. Nice. πŸ™‚ Speaking of Bucket lists I have the first item. Note that it is a nice old Antique one with a wooden handle. 😁 It has been around a long time like the grouchy old mechanic that owns it. πŸ€ͺ
  6. Yup, I suppose so. I aint saying here what I think of "Woke". My wife had some explaining to do about it a while ago to fill me in. I was looking for you Ed. Sorry you were not around the show field. There was one Duesenberg at the show. I saw the fellow as he was heading to the show field after unloading the car and said to him, "I see the Duesy. But where's Ed Minnie? He can't be far behind?" I just got a half grin from the remark as he drove off. Lot of folks remarked that my old truck drew a larger crowd than just another shiny Duesy lined up with all the other buffed and glistening vehicles. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ™ƒ Anyone can own one of them cars with enough bread. It takes takes talent to get one out of the hedgerow and make it sing like a White sewing Machine. I let it idle for around 5 hours during the height of the show. 😁Everyone is amazed at how it runs and does not overheat. There's a reason the White was $2,400 when a Ford could be had for $295. You give me a heads up anytime your in the neighborhood Ed. πŸ™‚
  7. Another of it driving when I first got it going.
  8. Here's a video of back when I first got it running.
  9. I hooked on the trailer in the morning after someone tipped me off what road the Car Show trailer parking was on and moved the trailer there to be closer to the show field. Those signs must have been real small because I did not see any. Even googling it brought up nothing. If someone had just said, "behind the day parking and to the left." I would have figured it out.
  10. The crowd was like that most all of the day around the old White. Sorry I could not talk and meet all of you. It was pretty much non stop from the time I parked it around 9AM until 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
  11. How do the front springs hold that thing up??? πŸ˜¬πŸ™ƒ
  12. Then what do they call the two door convertible?
  13. Not as long as I own it. It is going to stay the way it is. I do notice that most walk past the shiny ones to get over to see this one sit and run. πŸ™ƒ I guess anyone can have a shiny one. The new thing is to find an original one still in its working cloths that runs like a White Sewing Machine. 🀠
  14. The crowd was like this most of the day.
  15. I finally made it to the AACA Automobile Show in Hershey, PA with the 1925 White. It drew quite a crowd all day. White sewing machines and all. πŸ™‚
  16. Sure would have been nice before I got here to know that. Signs??? What Signs??? I spoke with Steve M. yesterday and told him where I parked my trailer. He said I may just as well leave it there. This is my first time showing a vehicle here at Hershey. Bad rain storm came though around 5 AM. I hope that does not put a kink in the car show happening.
  17. So, I pay for car show trailer parking and no one can tell me where this parking I paid for is located??? WTF??? Get with the program AACA.
  18. Where is car show trailer parking? I have a paid spot and I need to loose this trailer when I arrive later today.
  19. Because New York State is greedy and all registered cars need one to be on the road. The Guys at the inspection station usually laugh when I bring the 1915 Buick. Check the brakes on the right front wheel and sure enough there aren't any there just like it came from the factory. You pass. Here's your sticker. 10 bucks please.
  20. It spent time in the Hamptons in Long Island I was told Burnie.
