1. I'll give 'em two bucks for it!
2. Hey, I thought only women were easily distracted by shiny objects? Shiny cars, shiny jewelry, shiny guido shirts and pantz @ the club... BTW, my other vehicle is a Super Star Destroyer... well, it's borrowed from Vader... but still, it is my other vehicle. I wish that I could have a License Plate that reads Executor !
3. Yeah, well, this is what happens when Chrysler makes just about anything. Don't even tell me how great the MOPAR cars of the sixties were, because anyone who has ever owned one, knew that they fell apart faster than you could drive from the dealership to your house. Made with the crappiest materials known to exist... and some not known to exist. Why do you think it costs so much to restore them? One, the cost of materials nowadays. Two, the fact that everything needs to be replaced. If there's one in good original condition, it's that way because the owner kept it locked up in the garage, under a blanket for 40 years. Or dumped a ton of cash into it for the past almost-half-century. The ML series has always been a headache from it's inception... but don't worry, because only MILFs buy them, so it allows us to give them a hand when they break down and get possibly more than just a thank you! Hope that hubby doesn't find out about his wife's infidelity, and get pissed at you, because he spent insano bucks on a "sweet ride" for her, but that she never appreciated... ... ... him and the ride. As for other, newer Benz's... don't even waste the 100 grand for the piece of (bleep)! You'll end up spending $100,000 more, when the cheesy warranty expires. I have my doubts about newer Cadillacs... but I know that the ones from the early 90's were okay. Even though they had the regular GM problems... headliner, mouldings, etcetera. Some people complain about the engines, but others state that they never had a problem. Must be something to do with lemon cars, that they didn't think of... but yet complained about the quality before thinking. In any event, I wouldn't pay the price of a Cadillac nowadays, for what it is... which is just an over-expensive piece of (bleep). But it's got better ratings than Lincoln when it comes to problems per hundred vehicles. In other words... Lincoln puts out a whole lot of lemons. BEWARE! I thought about picking up a mint '94 Eldorado w/Northstar... but it was that pearly white. It was just too Mafia for me... and though I'm slightly Italian... I'm not Tony Douchebag, Joey Numbahs, or Franky Goomba... so I couldn't see myself in it. $7,000 was a steal though! Let me tell you that the engine is too much for that car. The Northstar will get you killed in an STS too! The car has no way of compensating for the lift-off that you get, breaking away from a Jersey Toll Plaza.
4. (sigh) Women... well, just do what you have to, to keep her happy. No one wants an angry wife on their back... especially when they want to go out with the guys. Just another reason that I won't ever get married. Besides, in the "New America", getting hitched is just plain out-of-style. And can be detrimental to a man's mental and financial stability. Wanted to, before I decided that it may be a bad choice. I am old fashioned and out-of-touch with reality... but there are some lessons worth learning and sometimes it's a good thing to progress with the rest of society... in this case... I vote YES to the word NO. Beyond that bit of chatter, I may still look into a Fiero... but I'm not sure what late model I want to get. The original "notch" back or the new and improved (yeah, okay) Ferrari clone. In any event... I do like all the gadgets and doo-dads that make the "cockpit" so interesting. It reminds me of the Back to the Future DeLorean. DeLorean, which is, my favorite automobile... as gay as that sounds to many people.
5. Well there you go... no member needed... by the way, I just found out today that the Bergen regional chapter was closed, do to disinterest... one of the reasons why my father isn't a member anymore... those lazy old geazers! I remember the Buick Club meetings when I was a kid! I'd try to re-open it, but what's the point, if the locals aren't interested. I know one of the dudes in the chapter has/had a Reatta.

Thanks Howard and 2seater for your welcome... and F14 for that useful bit of knowledge.

Jibby stays away from the planet Melmac most of the time, because of guys like Alf. But when the chance arises, that he must pass near the system, he usually goes in a Star Destroyer... and not one of them little ones, either... the big "Super" Star Destroyer that Vader loans to him on the weekends!
8. On another note, I do recall seeing the Smart/Mercedes-Benz look-a-like in an Auto magazine somewhere. It doesn't look too bad, but if you consider that it costs too much for what it is and that people will make fun of you for buying a Benz look-a-like... then you'll probably pass. If the quality is anything near a Mercedes-Benz, then run for cover. Daimler Chrysler has destroyed what quality the Benz had in the 90's... not that it was much. What happened to German Engineering? Did that die with Hitler, too?
9. I thought about getting a Fiero... maybe that Ferrari looking one, but the prospect of the engine catching fire didn't appeal to me. Seen to many car fires on the road, didn't want to be the guy standing in front of one. I'm sure there are fixes for that... but I still like the Reatta better than the Fiero. Fieros are mad, crazy, customizable. As everyone knows, you can drop just about any engine into one, and they can be the basis for many a kit car. Still, I don't want a Ferrari or even a Fiero/Ferrari look-a-like... for that matter, I don't want a Fiero kit Ferrari. But still, for those who like them, they offer endless opportunity for customization.
10. I know of a person in the BCA. My father was a member, before he became a slacker. The person I know, is a member of the chapter in and around Bergen County, New Jersey. Reatta Division... I haven't got anyone I know in there. I should soon be a member. I'm not sure if you need to be a member of the Reatta Division to be a sponser for people in it. BCA membership may be enough... but don't take my word on it. Anyway, I can talk to the guy I know if it helps. I know he isn't in your area, but I don't see how that should make a difference. As for a chapter in your area, just give the closest one a call and see what they say.

Calming down... hey there's a Reatta on E-bay for like $3,500. Sterling Silver/Slate. Under 60,000 miles. One owner... not too shabby... I think it was in NY. But in any event, I didn't see any bids last time I checked. Hey, you'd better ask some people here on this forum first, about that ABS Accumulator. GM will probably charge you an arm and a leg... and a soul for that, I know it!
12. That would be the smart thing to do, but as I said, I'm on the road to oblivion, so someone will have to beat me in the head with a Reatta bumper to get me to remember that in the future. Bleh

manikmekanik, sweet, I still have time to do this before I become one of those guys at Hershey that looks on while a rich German or Japanese guy whips out a roll of thousands and takes away a beauty... wait, I already do that!

Hurrah for my sarcasm, cynicism, and pessimism... it's paid off! Thanks bwarren, I was feeling unloved... or at least unwanted.
16. Apparently, I'm already a blithering idiot, since I can't spell MEMORY correctly... (sigh)
17. So, William Shatner has done it again! That b*stard! He's so damn good! Now if I could find a good price for that same place. I hope Shatner is able to pull some strings more me... I mean, I've been a not-so-avid fan of his since... well since I can remember... like 1982... or whenever I saw my first Star Trek film. Hey, not bad for a 2 year old, huh? I used to have a good mememory... Age will do that to you... and I'm only 25! When I'm 50 I'll be completely useless. More probably, a blithering idiot stuck in a chair all day long. Someone please promise me that they'll poison me with Cyanide at that point! Rant, rant, rant... the point was made, that Priceline is not a bad website!
18. Sweet! On another note, Bob, when will you be e-mailing the itinerary?
19. I like it! Although I'd like to stay stock in most respects. Good work!

I find it funny that out of 51 views... as of right now, only you had the courtesy to say hello to me. Thank you, for that courtesy. And yes, my Reatta is quite un-rare as Reattas go... except for maybe the sunroof.

Thanks, I know I'll be needing the help... I know the Factory Cassette player is in the trunk. If I had a Factory CD player, it'd be in the cubby under the dash. They put an after market CD player in the dash. Let me edit that first posting... done!
22. I'd love to come, but my Reatta is going to have to stay home... it's still not ready for the road. Well, it is, but I'd rather not drive so far in it, just yet. I'll add it to my calendar. I think I have Gettyburg on July 1-3... but that's a few days before. Hopefully I'll have some extra cash after the reenactment. It's damn expensive to do that stuff! Will a '95 Ford T-Bird look out of place?

I'm a new user here on the forum(s). I bought a 1990 Buick Reatta over the winter. It's sitting happily in my driveway, under a cover. Happily, because the last guy who owned it never took care of it. He was a total tool! I ask you, how could you not take care of a Reatta? It needs some minor work, but when I'm done, it will be totally restored and will see the road again... on Sundays, mostly. Shame on abusive Reatta owners! Bleh! Specifications: 1990 Buick Reatta 95,000 Miles (Estimated) Bright Red/Saddle Sunroof Factory CASSETTE Player (In the trunk) 8-Way Power Adjustable Seats (I believe) Golf ball in the trunk... how strangely refreshing! I look forward to discussions with you all... or at least some of you. William Wade Milford,PA
