With me being on the frugal side I tend to buy incomplete projects so I put them together with whatever parts I can get cheap and not willing to spend the money to get all the correct parts so I have very few cars that have 100 percent correct parts. And I do not own a trailer so what ever I get has to be able to go down the highway without being a burden to everyone else so there are going to be some modifications to do that like gear ratios,overdrive trans and better brakes if needed. Whatever I have looks like it's supposed to on the outside but the mechanicals not so much,when I bought my 65 Mercury I decided to leave it alone since it's from the era it can handle the highways. I like them all.

Another thrift store rescue that I started on today,going to get rid of the street rod look and going for a slightly more stock look. Took the big block out and add a six from the 53 hard top lit

Just bought six bottles of paint for 2.69 each at Hobby Lobby.

I have one with 40 cents on the cap and is still good.

Making a list of the paint that I need to replace,they are getting close to 3 dollars I think .

66 Mercury and Galaxie,I have about 7 I am working on.

Alot came from thrift stores and friends keep bringing them to me,I do not have to look as they seem to find me and I have plenty of more to restore but will soon be outside in the yard and garage and those will be next winter.

Forgot all about this 62 I had so it will be redone soon.

Tamiya champagne gold,I was trying to get a color to match GMs fawn beige and had found it but was 20 dollars a can so passed on it and got this color instead.

Started on this one, still need to find some parts.

Finished the home made 40 Ford larger truck and another survivor 40 Ford coupe,was hoping to paint the 40 but could not get it apart.

I had a cam fail on a 351-w last fall during break in,used break in oil and assembly lube and pre lubed it and two lobes failed. It was a name brand cam and lifters and do not know if it was the cam or lifters but one of the two was not made properly.

I had the box for years and decided to look for a 61 to put in it,It came off eBay and someone did a nice job on it.

61 Galaxie and a Monogram Green Hornet , actually I think the 61 is a promo since there is no opening hood and I had the box.

While I was looking for parts for the AMT 36 Ford I found another 40 coupe ,it was missing some parts but I had what it needed so another project. If I can get it apart I will paint it but if I can't will polish it and just add some detailing,it will most likely be a project for next winter as I have done about four AMTs 40s lately including three Monogram 40 pickups so time for a change.

If you need a top for it I have several.

I was given one that was started and not finished and will get to it one day.

I have the 65 version I need to get to one day and yours looks great.

Found all the parts to put this one back together,it will have to be a hotrod as I only have chopped tops.

It's got the 65 engine but it came missing the carbs and valve covers so I need to find them.
