Hey Brad , $ 500k for a supercharger ? Not too bad - but for $650,000 I would sell him the only one in existence that I just happen to have - the Fred Duesenberg designed Turbocharger - It consists of a beautifully constructed round cage that attaches to the exhaust manifold , all you have to do is add a rat. you see , when the manifold gets hotter and hotter, the rat runs faster and ....well you get the idea ! ...........Steve

Hey Guy, You might be on to something there.........The rounded '48 - '50 Packards do look like modern cars of today . Just a mite too tall!! Maybe Packard was 50 years ahead - only nobody knew it at the time !!! <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> ............Steve <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> </div></div>

Scott - Any Twin-Six from 1915 to 1922 would be great although the first year with the non- detachable head would give me great pause about workability. HELP NEEDED with a car called "THRIF-T" by Tri-Wheel Corp
Dr Morbius replied to a topic in Technical
Sorry I couldn't be more help.......Steve -
No I don't own a Twin-Six but if the price was right I would jump on it. And you say it cruises at 40-45 mph? I thought it would at 60 or so and have a top speed of a hair above 70. Is this correct somebody? .....Steve

Overdrive is the way to go in my estimation. ......Steve

If you change to an 8 volt battery, unless you change every light bulb in the car your going to burn out every headlite, dash lite , tail lite , interior lite and any else that runs on 6 volt. If you have a slow turning starter motor at 6 volts you can have the starter modified [ easily ] for 4.5 volts which turns over like a new 12 volt car AT 6 volts. I have both my '54 Packards set up this way and as soon as you turn the key they start right up. !!!! Just make sure your tuned up good! .............Steve
