  1. Doug Seybold has a lot of those. He is in Ohio and his number is 440-835-1193
  2. I saw a couple of 36 buicks at Doug's place in Ohio.... he might be able to find you something. call him at 440-835-1193
  3. as for most having a winch, I'd say no, since over half the haulers run semi's. you cant turn a semi around in a residential Los Angeles area to go pull a car from some guys garage that is buried 3 cars deep and unassembled. I can, however. But I'd also charge $2000 or more to do so. Assembly is extra.
  4. which part? the sraight spear or the curved piece?
  5. well first off the car doesnt run, therefore its a pin in the butt to load. Secondly, location of the vehicle, semi's cant go everywhere and neither can duallys with 2-car haulers. Third, Fuel costcost, it makes up most of the haulers charges these days as most use deisel and that is avg $3.15 gallon. Fourth, the hauler will want some $ for his time, sleep in a fair hotel and possibly eat at some point, so add on a few hundered to the fuel cost. So all in all, if you go with a large ommercial operation or a private hauler you're going to pay a lot no matter what. 99% of the time large companies like DAS and Reliable wont even bother with non-runners. Good luck with your project!
  6. i emailed about a copy of the title showing Tiger woods as the previous owner and never got a response
  7. Call Mr. Seybold In Ohio 440-835-1193 I referred a guy overseas to him about a r/b 55 Dynaflow and he seems happy with it. Not cheap though, remeber it isnt a turbo 350.
  8. Contgrats!!! Its nice to see some of the younger people getting recognized! let us know what happens and when it'll come out! AACA and BCA needs to take note about younger people... I'd love to meet some more hot girls at the Nationals. Hemmings though, I have to laugh a tad because they have even bought parts from us and they know me and my brother do the restorations and we're in our 20's. talk about an oversight!
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick-Spe...570329504QQrdZ1 there ya be!
  10. I'd be interested in the 15" wheels too. let me know.
  11. hmmm, Doug in ohio comes to mind as the guy for that, reach him at 440 835-1193.
  12. try Doug in Ohio.. he has tons of 38-41 Buick stuff 440-835-1193
  13. I won't be able to make it, time to take a break and go racing on saturday. Have fun everyone!
  14. Yes, in 1941 Buick had a chevy bodied 2-door coupe, and as Matt stated it was a regular trunkback, not fastback. It would be labeled as a 41-44 and I personally have only seen one or two of them. Of the chevy bodies, fourdoor sedans and 2 door convertibles seem to have survived much more.
  15. hmmm - interesting looking car, probably worth around 25K. Looks like a quick repaint(look at the fender edge under the hood), no rocker mouldings, only one centerpost, spraybombed the whole engine red and the rest of the eng compartment black, etc, etc. Most likely not worth his reserve ( which from memory was over $30K) but would make a great driver for sure!!
  16. it wont turn over it it wont fire up and run? please be more specific. If you puch the pedal down and nothing happens, you have to check the starter switch on the carb and go from there. Hot weaterh has no negative effect on a battery, only cold cold weather. If it turns over but doesnt fire up - then yo umust go further such as checking for spark, checking the points, and so on. report back!
  17. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Nick, Nice picture! If I may ask, how did you get such a large color pic to meet the "under 100K" limit for AACA picture posts? </div></div> Its large but low quality. I think I also sized it to 75% in some photo program though.
  18. post a picture and I'll let you knwo what I think.
  19. Is it the spoked sort of wheel? The only wheels that will fir your roadmaster would have to be from another 80 or 90 series only. Call Mr. Seybold at 440-835 -1193 for wheels, he has many different ones.
  20. runningboards are very common, good luck finding a "good used"set. most likely you have to get a pair redone. Streamboards are less common but can be found. Both styles were available on 39 and 40 models years. see attached pic for what a streamboard looks like
  21. On another note - I was once shown ooollld pictures from Jenkins of a '40 super 4-dr that had a true dealer installed rubber runningboard conversion. Didnt look too appealing.
