  1. For sale: Model A RPU. Year 1928 This was a 1999 barn find in NY (hence the snow). Has been stored in my shop since in Fl. Rebuilt motor, chassis painted, new sheet metal (except doors), new radiator, shroud, deck wood, top and seat. Too nice to hotrod. Everything there except tires. Not pictured- new top complete. Too many projects.Delivery may be possible on east coast if I make a NY trip. $10,500 OBO. I have paperwork for title.Located in central FLRichard
  2. 1-The hot wire from the genny/cutout goes to + or - on battery? 2- which side of the coil gets the hot wire + or - ? (Think we know this one) 3- the big one - DC motors reverse direction when polarities are reversed. Why doesn't the starter reverse direction? I have bounced these off some very knowledgeable car guys. We're scratching our heads. TIA. Richard
  3. need the convertible top irons for a 32 PA convertible (not roadster). Any drawings, old pieces, or even a NOS set would help TIA Richard
  4. helping a friend. the 1932 Chevy had the serial # on a plate attached to the wooden floor under the passenger foot area. Obviously a poor design. Did Chevy put this # anywhere else ? on the frame? Can we assume it is different than the motor #? There is a body # on a plate on the firewall. Anyone in NYS have the paperwork to title it? I did 20 years ago but I am in FL now and only have FL paperwork/statutes. besides the AACA , what are the other big Chevy groups/suppliers for these early Chevys? I have my Mopar/ Ford / Speedster/ Indian MC contacts but nothin
  5. This 31 had wooden wheels with 11" drums. If you have just the drums, I can use them as I have extra wire wheels to use. TIA Richard dixchief@gmail.com

  10. I am selling this one owner GTO for my friend's widow. wish I had the money to buy it. Will go to auction in Kissimmee in January if not sold before. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9AYEvp8JR58WGJnRHYyX3ViSjA Enjoy the look.
  11. Gateway gets a minimum of 12.5% of the selling price. you tell them what price you want and they add about 20% to it. This gives them some negotiating room to make the sake. They want about $250 signing fee but it can be waived (ours was). Exclusive right to sell during the contract period (varies and can be extended month by month). re:" Auctioning a car isn't the best way to get a good price," private sales, commission shops and auctions all have pros and cons. I've done them all. private sale, smaller audience that expect a deal " will you take...", more personal
  12. She had it at Gateway classic cars on commission. They advertise it in many sites. They add a hefty commission to it. I brought it to FL to sell commission free. And to eliminate her having to show the car and the hassles of selling it. If not sold privately, I will have it at the January Mecum auction in Kissimmee.
  13. The car was purchased in NY in 1970. Then he moved to FL (FL inspection) and then to GA.They were in GA for over 30 years. the car is titled (registered) to his wife as a GA car. I brought it here to FL to sell it. Padgett, Paisley is 45 minutes from Sanford. Come over anytime. I guarantee this is the real thing. capngrog- thank you. He was my friend of 56 years.
