you can try poston enterprises i got mine there 425 .30 over $225.00 but i dont think the 425 pistons will work on a 401 a 425 bore is 4.3125 the 401 is 4.125 (i am not 100% sure on that last measurment)you can also call T A performance they had some for the 425 at $325.00a set.(i think they charge way too much) personal opinion i dont mean to offend anyone. scott 1964 wildcat

at the nats in bowling green 3 years ago i saw a ford mustang so i asked why "rules state BUICK POWERED" enough said. i think thats cool(but if leno showed up he couldnt race)not buick powered thats not cool.let them show there cars. after building 1 nailhead i can see why chevy engins are popular (my 305 rebuild was a total cost of 600.00 stock 30 over my 425 has already cost over 1800.00 and still counting stock 30 over) but i would never swap it for a chevy. scott 1964 wildcat 425 2-4's 4-speed not a #'s matching car oops i must be modified

I ordered a flywheel for a 425 manual transmission from poston.they said it will work or i could return it,i paid 267.75 and as soon as i opened the box i knew it was wrong. mine has a recessed clutch and the new one was flat well i called poston they told me that it will work just put it in the car. when i told them that it is not anything like my old flywheel they said it will work. the box it came in said 401 NOT 425 i told them my pressure plate will not work on this new flywheel they said i was wrong.I finally got pissed and raised my voice and they told me not to call them and get mad.i got mad after i talked to them i dont really know if they dont know any better or what but i got screwed royally some people think that so many parts are interchangable if it fits one it will fit them all i could be wrong but there is two different part # 1 for 401 flywheel and 1 for 425 flywheel] all i wanted was to return the flywheel instead i was told how stupid i am scott phillips nashville tn (I MIGHT TAKE A DRIVE TO ATMORE ALA THIS WEEK)

i had my 64 wildcat painted cheaply . well i got what i paid for.i am now in redoing everything all over again.but im going to do it myself i dont know anything about painting but i will learn.it was painted oct last year allready has rust bubbles where it was not preped right.(less than 1 year it is starting to rust again) the guy that painted mine let me take photos also but a photo cant see under primer.my advice is to do it or get it done right the first time.saves money in the long run.
