The picture I posted is the Jenkins material however I would ask them to send a sample just in case they ran out of it and replaced it with something else ?
-
Does anyone know if Jenkins Interiors is still in business. I tried to call and received no answer. I wanted to purchase their trunk material because their sample was close to the original. Any photos of installed trunk material in a 65 Riv and where it was purchased from would be helpful. Thanks Gerry
The Jenkins material is as close a match as you will find . Mr Jenkins Sr. just passed away and perhaps they are closed for a short time ????? Keep trying and let us know if you make contact .

The GA ROA RC does not have any information about it, but I did some checking and may have just talked to the spouse of the previous owner? I am pretty sure I did? I was told the PO, if it is in fact the PO, would not be available until the end of the week though?!? I'm not sure that would be helpful to you or not, but the auction doesn't end until Sunday so it might? If I can contact them and put you in touch I'll let you know, or let me know if that is too late for you.
Sorry I couldn't be more help,
Its at 8200 now - past my buying point and has not met reserve yet - Thanks for your effort with this !

Be sure the center cap hole is 2 inches , not 2 1/8 . If it matches Toms description and is 2 inches - what you have is correct .

It could be that the belts are tight but glazed . This will cause an issue as well . If you replace the parts buy both , then install one and then the other . Your first choice may solve the problem and you can return the other part ?

Does anyone have a clamshell out of their 65 that they can take a picture of where the spring goes ?
Here is the question someone sent to me the other day -
" I recently installed my headlamp motor and in the process I removed a spring from the clamshell and now can't quite be certain how it goes back on. Not too much in the literature and net searches that I have been able to find. Can you give me a hint here how it goes back on? "
Thanks ,

I set the system up on the work bench - good original 10 ohm speakers - tried both reverb boxes - same problem . The problem must be in the box . Now I need to find someone that works on them ?<!-- google_ad_section_end --> Perhaps the power transistor or ???

I set the system up on the work bench - old speakers - tried both reverb boxes - same problem . The problem must be in the box with the springs . Now I need to find someone that works on them ?

Not two - the factory fader is a knob that sits behind the knob that changes stations . The other side of the radio has an inner knob that adjusts bass , treble and so on . The fader knob has three wires that fits into the radio harness .

A new harness came with the NOS unit - tried it - no change ?
-
That is correct - the unit is grounded through the mounting screws .
-
I opened the unit and checked the springs - all ok . As I said - one unit is NOS . All 3 had the same reaction . The main harness - 3 ribbon that plugs into the trunk unit - only will go in one way and it is hard wired at the reverb switch . Cant mess that up . I do have new 10 ohm speakers from Electro-tech but I doubt thats the problem ?
