If you put it in the console -65-65 - you need to cut away the ash tray frame work . you also need to cut the hole toward the top of the panel to clear a lower brace - SEE PIC. I understand folks dont want to cut up the car BUT - that whole panel is easy to find if you ever want to go back to original . Oh , I forgot - you loose your ashtray - OMG

Stay with the nailhead - 64-66 will work . You will be better off in the long run .

If you drive your car , save money and get a Delco Professional Group 27 Battery . If your car is for show only - a true Senior Winner , then you may want to spend the big bucks for a battery that is of lesser quality . Its kind of like Radial Tires - if you use the car - those are the tires of choice - regardless of the point deduction . Be Safe not Sorry !

Good Morning . 5 K is throwing good money after bad . Find yourself a nice rust free car and keep what you have for spare parts . In the long run you will be way far ahead of the game . I know this is not what you were thinking but I have to be honest . You will not get rid of the rust . Perhaps a car from Arizona or Ca or ..... ?

You might consider a Variable Ratio box - direct bolt in rather then rebuilding yours ?

Why no sleeves ? What is wrong with that ? Pleas explain yourself.
Over the years I have heard of many problems doing this . Dont know if it is the concept or workmanship or both . There are blocks available - that would be my choice .

OK Traveler: My take is so different. I would look for a 65 Riv with factory a/c. If you like the look of all the switches under the dash you can almost duplicate the 63 all that by adding an accecory switch for the rear defroster, a power antenna switch and I believe most have a courtesy lite switch. Cruise control which is to the left of the under-speaker switches can also add another gismo to complete the look you want. Putting a/c in these is heck-of-expensive and finding a shop (if you can't diy) might be a problem too.
By the time you are done you will have spent too much dough and energy trying to accomplish what you want and there are really no guarantees that things might turn out that great either. I would find another car because I think it could short circuit a lotta grief . Mitch
Words of Wisdon from Mitch - Find a donor car and stay with original - the other choice would be an aftermarket system ( a lot less work , have it installed , and cheaper in the long run counting your time and aggravation and more efficiant ).

Door jamb switch from Clark's for my '63 - how to wire?

The switch you describe is strange but all three wires need to go to ground to light the lights . You can tie all 3 together on the one leg of the switch . The switch makes and brakes the ground circuit . Perhaps they put the yellow wire there to be sure you have a good ground somewhere besides the metal clip ? You would need to tie the 3 wires and connect to the blank terminal .
