My guess is that it was restored in the mid 80s with a repaint in the lat 1990s or early 2000s.

I have seen this car in person and it is very nice. An older restoration, but it has held up very well.
1936 is an odd year re parts. One year only block, water pump, carb, etc.

Could anybody provide me with pictures of the two Fownes Duesenbergs. The story goes that Mr Fownes had the factory install a second speedometer in the back seat of one of the cars so he could monitor how fast my great uncle was driving. It would be interesting to see if that speedometer is still there.
And thanks again Ed.

Re the Dragone 1929 Packard roadster. Love the rear mounted spare.
maybe “very original” is implying that it was not made from a sedan.

Yes, this is the same car. The tan version (complete with vinyl upholstery) is how the car looked after Daleiden's body shop of Kalamazoo, MI finished it for Donald Gilmore in the 1960s. The photo in greenish gray is how the car looks today following Mr. Gilmore's grandson's re-restoration to modern standards. The car is a centerpiece of the Gilmore Car Museum's permanent collection.
But is the Gilmore car the same as the period photo?

I thought that they were going to sell the land to a wholesale truck/ car auction company. The wholesale company agreed that they could use it labor day and Memorial Day weeks/weekends. Some sort of buy / lease back.
If this is the last year that is too bad. As a kid I remember it in the high school gym.
maybe Worldwide auctioneers will step in to fill the space.

Eldan Hostetler had that Hudson restored 10 plus years ago.

Firestone, either black wall or white wall.
Regardless, I like the idea of contrasting wheels. Did Lincoln have a color scheme that would look good?
