    Hi All,

Does anyone know the proper name and where I might source what I will call the 'upper front bumper bracket mounting plate'? Included below is the photo of my bent one that needs replacement. The black writing is the letter' "P"  (passenger side) for orientation and that side faces the engine while the other side faces the interior of the upper front bumper. They attach to the bracket arms that in turn attach to the frame just below and to the side of the radiator. They essentially 'hug and hold" the upper front bumper in place.

I've been searching high and low with no luck.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions on the name or where to buy!

    David,

There are many vendors listed in the back of the Riview that have 65 parts. I am sure one of them should be able to help you out.

  6. I have for sale a Lares 969 remanufactured power steering gear box. GM number 5687962. This unit will fit 1963-1976 Riviera among other GM makes, models and years. This was installed on my car 5 years and 8000 miles ago. I had zero problems with it. I replaced it as I decided to go with one of Telriv's (Tom Telesco) steering boxes. $125.00 plus flat rate Priority Mail shipping via USPS. I am sure this will save you money on shipping as compared to the shipping cost from a supplier. You will also save money (and hassle) as you will not have to pay for shipping a core back to the supplier. PM me if interested. Thanks.

  7. I have a center link which was just removed from my car. It was not removed because it was bad or causing problems. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a refurbished center link from a fellow Forum member(costly but, worth it). You cannot buy a refurbished center link off the shelf. You have to remove your center link and send it in to Rare Parts to be refurbished. Another option is to buy a core and send it in to be refurbished.  Doing this his you do not have to go through the hassle of tying your car up by removing your center link, sending it in and waiting for it to be refurbished. Your center link becomes the "core" when it is removed so to speak. You can sell your center link to someone looking to redo their center link, they can sell their center link and so on and so forth. $150.00 plus shipping. Please PM me if interested. Thanks.

  8. I have for sale a used idler arm. Fits 1963-1965 Riviera and 1966 Riviera with manual steering. I was replacing my center link and I decided to replace the idler arm as long as they were doing that. It was checked by my mechanic before it was removed and he said it was still a good, serviceable piece. Check the price of a new one. Offer plus shipping. PM me if interested. Thanks.

  9. I have for sale a used set of 4 NAPA OE Spectrum Sensa Trac shock absorbers for the 1963-1965 Riviera. Rear 5160ST and front 5759ST. These were taken off of my 1963 Riviera just this week. I had absolutely no problems or complaints with these shocks. These were removed as I decided to install Bilsteins. The shocks were installed on my car in 2014. They have 10,000 gentle, mostly highway miles on them. They are still usable and I cannot bring myself to throw them away. Offer plus shipping. PM me if interested. Thanks.

  10. I have for sale a good used lower ball joint. It had been purchased from a friend that had removed it from a low mileage wreck he parted out. I wanted to have a ball joint on hand in my stash of extra parts. I recently had both lower ball joints replaced so I no longer need it. It seems to be in good shape and the rubber boot is intact. I believe that this is correct for 1963-1970 as per CARS,Inc. Offer plus shipping. PM me if interested. Thanks.

Finishing up my restoration and am needing a chrome turn signal stalk with tan knob to finish her off. Anyone have one to sell?

Contact the many vendors in the back of the Riview. If you are not an ROA member, I would suggest joining. You won't regret it.

  12. I have a muffler which I had purchased some years ago which I thought was the correct muffler for my 1963. I have since found out it is not. I now know the 1963 muffler is 1353677. This muffler is 1230479. Does anyone know what this muffler would fit? Any help is appreciated.

P.S. My exhaust guy said that they looked at it further and could make it work. Still would like to know what it was for.

PM me if interested. Thanks.

Yes Bill, I too am in limbo with having removed the inner fuzzy strips.

I was going to contact Steel Rubber as I have some of their product to exchange for something suitable.

Since you have  Mark up-to-speed, I'll go that route.

    Thank-you!

    John,

As far as I know all of the other sellers of weatherstrip kits all include the wrong channel as well. Maybe they all get their kits from Repops as well. When I went through this in 2017 I contacted Glenn Cecchine at CARS, Inc. He indicated that he was going to look into this and get the correct inner strip for their sets. As far as I know he did not follow through with this. Thanks.
