  1. I grew up with one, but it had leather... here are more pics. For some reason it won't let me add a link to them.
  2. Hi guys, I've got another car for you... This Lincoln is in really nice shape as far as the interior and body. I didn't take a picture of the trunk, but it's very clean. It has a little over 60K miles and from the paperwork and condition, it looks to be original miles. Multiple mechanics I've had look at it think so as well. I am going to clean it up and put it up for sale. I will get pics of the engine and trunk as well. The fuel lines need to be replaced because they are brittle. It will need some work to get running because it's been sitting. I've looked up the NADA value and was wondering if someone could identify the trim package by this door tag? (Collector or Designer Series). If you want to throw in an opinion of value, feel free to do so as well. Any info you'all have is welcome. It's located about 90 minutes west of Austin, Tx. Thanks, ~Victoria
  3. I agree we should be a little more careful. You'all are probably getting pretty sick of turkey by now anyway. Come on over for some cranberry, jalalpeno pork.
  4. My first car was an 80 Sunbird, but the 4 cylinder variety. My father tried to give me an old Ranchero with a big engine, but I was embarrassed to drive it, so he reluctantly bought the Sunbird I wanted. I found the receipt for it in his garage the other day. It was a really dependable little car, and even did better than my 03 G6 in the snow!
  5. Which one is the 1810 house? Was it built then? I know the house I grew up in was old. It would be over 200 years old now.
  6. Well I lived in East Derry right before I moved here. The first duplex on the right on Damren Rd. I also grew up at 114 N. Mast Road. Small world.
  7. Just an FYI, I sold the Jeepster. I had two buyers. I got a better look at it today and realized it needed more work than I was hoping, so lowered my expectations. I don't want to go into a lot of detail because I'm kind of burned out explaining the condition, etc. I chose to sell it to the guy in Oregon who has been helping me through this process since day one. He has done so much, including working on the '30 Model A last Thanksgiving AM, in the freezing cold because that is when the driver came to pick it up. I couldn't start it, and it was hard to start cold anyway, so this guy came and helped. That is just one of so many things he has done, including help me sell multiple cars and appraising and answering a lot of questions. I chose to cut him a deal lower than the other buyer offered when I found out it interested him. He has like 50 cars so I was surprised he wanted it. I feel like it's going to the right person, I will get to see it and ride in it when it's done, and I feel good about giving something back to him. And for the record, he didn't ask for a deal, I offered it to him because it was the right thing to do.
  8. Thanks everyone for the info. Does anyone have any thought on value of what I posted?
  9. Most of these comments are waaay over my head but I appreciate all info. You guys are having some fun with this post. Glad it's entertaining some of you and me as well.
  10. Whatever the 312/300 is, it's an 80% upgrade according to NADA. Is it made of gold?
  11. I am looking on NADA and they have two V8 options with a substantial difference in the two. How do you tell the difference? Thanks for your help! ~Victoria
  12. My grandparents had one of these. I spent many summers in it. It was fun but always thought it looked like a "pregnant caterpillar". That was something I heard my grandfather say and it fit. LOL
  13. Good to know. Those Snowflakes look nice on your car! (Learned another term... Snowflakes.) I am learning a lot from all of you and I am so appreciative! Plus I always like to learn new things. I get bored easy. Haha
