My Autolite Distributer has an arrow head stud that the electrolock cable grabs.
Inside the cable end are two curved brass jaws that resist removal of the stud..
Once apart I had the stud re shaped to a shallow egg shape instead of the Blunt ended arrow head shape.
Easier to remove cable end for adjustments.

In 2022, at Hershey, my 101-year-old Hershey friend bought a beautiful 1939 Plymouth 4 door Convertible.
Still driving it in Tenn.
Same make car sold as he entered WW2, always looked for one after all the years!!!

Well, not 28, but body style similar to 1930 Hudson except for:
Door hinges exposed
Door window glass, severely tapered, Hudson's were rectangular.
Rear window not Oval
Highly raised bead shape around window reveals.
No raised bead on splash apron ( between body and running board.)
Different spring attachment to LR frame.

Similarities to Hudson:
Raised triangular shaped character line separating upper and lower body. 1930 only
Door handle mounted in center of character line 29 and 30
Brown taillight lens used by Hudson in 28 and 29 not 30 or 31
Headlight bucket appears shaped like 30 Hudson
But not a Hudson that I can see.
Would like to know what it is too.

Have him look at rear spring support castings. for stamped serial number.
Post it here, this will help ID year.

1927 Essex made by Hudson.
Essex chassis, look at right rear spring "dumb iron".
Serial number should be stamped there.
The gas tank cover looks 26 but rear fenders seem curved with no character lines, perhaps 1927 and later.
Front spring dumb iron is 1927 or earlier.
Spare tire cups last used in 1927

I have a chart comparing plugs, no car models. Includes EDISON
If you have a plug, perhaps I can tell you it's comparable for AC , Champion?
This may be helpful by using another chart to check uses.

My Hudson Essex cars all had raised metal around studs at top of block.
Counter sink holes in the head for studs. I use a 45 deg. 45 deg angle counter sink.
The likely hood of gasket pinching thus allowing clearance for exhaust gas or coolant to migrate.
Are you sure of the temp measuring device ?

My Hollander Manual shows 1936 Olds 6 and 8 rear ends as interchangeable.
No Buick cross info.
No info on front drums in book
this is a early 1937 book and info ends with 1936.
Showes no other GM, or other interchange for rear end.

looks like 1928 Essex body, with some other car newer front fenders.
Hood looks like 1929 Essex.
