  1. Maybe the car had been a GN winner the day it was judged. A lot can happen after that. That's like a Corvette owner telling me that their Corvette was a NCRS Top Flight car three (3) years ago. Okay, but that doesn't necessarily mean the car is currently a Top Flight Corvette. That's why I keep my Corvette current and try to have it Top Flight judged every two years. I guess you are only as good as your last performance (lol).
  2. Hello AACA Corvette Owners: We are in the process of forming a new proposed Florida NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) Chapter. We have not yet decided on a name for the proposed chapter, but some have suggested the following: Greater Florida NCRS Chapter, Southern Florida NCRS Chapter and the Sunshine State NCRS Chapter. Identifying a name is still an open process at this point. As allowed in the NCRS guidelines, we will be advertising it in the Driveline as a proposed chapter/charter. The chapter will be open to membership to anyone who wants to join, of course you will have to be a member of the National NCRS. NCRS President, Mark Tulley, has provided us with the necessary guidelines in order to proceed. The preliminary response by many NCRS members has been overwhelming and for that we are grateful. A preliminary committee will be formed in order to establish and execute the corporate development process. We already have many Corvette Clubs throughout the state of Florida that have collaborated with us. We are excited about the positive possibilities this endeavor presents. Anyone interested in engaging in this process, feel free to call me at 305-439-5345 or email me @ednieves4039@gmail.com. Additionally, we are compiling a list of founding members for the new proposed Florida NCRS Chapter to submit to the National NCRS. Would you like to be included? Let me know.No payment is required at this time. In the future, I anticipate that the yearly dues would be $25.00. I just wanted to share this with my AACA people in hopes that our Corvette members will get involved. Thanks. Ed Nieves
  3. I'm not sure what you mean by "NCRS badges," but a true NCRS Top Flight car in excellent condition should always excel in the AACA. My car has 5 Top Flight awards and has always scored extremely high in the AACA.
  4. Got my letter back from the VP of judging. The letter explains why no score sheet was included. Thank you, Stan.
  5. Truthfully, I suck at selling, the last time I sold a car the buyer practically begged me to sell him the car. I take care of my things very carefully, so I never sell anything that I would not proudly own. This is the last car I sold. It wasn't even for sale, the buyer saw the car out in the street and flagged me down and demanded that I sell him the car (long and funny story)..
  6. I don’t think Stan will be sending out a copy of the judging sheet. He just responded to my email and he talked about sending me a letter. There was no mention of judging sheet copy. I’ll let you know once I receive the info. According to the new policy, we are suppose to receive a copy of the judging sheet with noted deductions, or I guess no deductions.
  7. Just booked my room at the host hotel (Isle Casino Hotel Bettendorf). Went real smooth. Looking forward to my trek from Florida to Iowa. This place is very close to the hotel (Veit's Vettes & Collector Cars), definitely going there.
  8. Sent away for my 2022 Grand National judging sheet, but have not received it yet. I'm sure it will take some time due to many requests.
  9. Agreed, I was just trying to make a point about sharing feedback with members in general. I totally realize the difference with the two animals.
  10. The idea is to correct flaws. The owner should always know their car better than any judge. The judging process findings should not come as a surprise if the owner has done their homework.
  11. Totally agree with Steve. It does not matter who judges your car, the deductions/score would be relatively consistent. I'm a NCRS master judge and there we go over the judging sheet with the owner and explain all deductions. If fact, any deduction must be documented and explained on the sheet. The judging sheet is subsequently mailed to the owner with all documented deductions and scores. I never had an issue with an owner that had their car judged again.
  12. I just received The Judge newsletter and according to Stan Kulikowski, VP of Judging, the judging guidelines this year was changed and indicates that ANY owner can request their judging sheet after an event. The previous guidelines only allowed those owners that did not receive the award they where competing for to be eligible to receive a copy of their judging sheet as feedback. I believe this was a much needed change and that will help the owners and makes the AACA better.
  13. I have been using Maxxis tire for a long time and never had issue with them. I have driven on 4 year-old maxxis on 3000 mile ( loaded) trips and they've held up nicely.
  14. Mr. West, thank you for publishing the article.
  15. I'm going to be driving to the Winter National in Miami from Central Florida. Anyone needing their car trailered to the event, let me know.
  16. Yes, you can. Here is a photo of my 95 Corvette with the plate that came on the car from the factory. That's the most original presentation you can get.
  17. I'm looking forward to that. Will it be at the BEND XPO Center?
