    1918 hood

after looking at more then one or two photos of briscoes 1/2 have what looks to be a 23 fin hood and 1/2 have a 3 or 4 fin hood . so i might have a briscoe hood and need a shop to fit it

    1918 hood

looks like 25 vents or fins . if i need to have one made , is there a pattern for it in a book ?
  11. i'm not going for a hotrod look . i have removed the hotrod gauges and added older gauges. in the link you can see what i'm trying to do . what i need to ask if you are adding a gauge would you move oil up to the dash from the floorboards or add volt gauge ? so you will see on/off, amp ,oil/volt one of the two . all looking the same gauge look (1918) not the newwer ones of the hotrod look i can make a new dash .have the shop and the know how to do it but if you have stock wood why not use it ?
  12. have a look at where i'm going with the look ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

    1918 hood

on my 1918 briscoe it has a hood with 3 vents on the side . it does not fit . what hood do i have on my car ? p.s the vents are cut a 80* and about 1" apart
  16. ok here is one if you needed to add to gauges to a dash of an 1918 car ! what gauges would you doand keep it with 1910-1920's ? ps what are the two pull buttons (blue and white)?
  17. Oil pressure gauge ( or flow sight glass) is a probability. in the firewall ignition/lights switch, in a box type switich thing on the dash ammeter i have the briscoe ammeter mechanical level fuel gauge is there(it has dodge on it ) will work for now Starter switch is most likely on the floor. it is on the floor dash lamp is there Speedometer is there but no wires to it and i need ti look into that i have two hole that i need to fill . 1 on/off 2 oil up form the firewall . would the two gauges look right in the dash ? the dash wood looks as the same tree as all the wood in the car . i would like this to look like a mod not a hack job fix up
  18. i have a briscoe 424 but i think the holes in my dash are not right and added sometime after 1918 . i think stock was amp fuel in dash and oil in firewall
