  1. Marv, let us know how it went, I know from talking to 3 different DMV's they each had a slightly different story.
  2. I have the same one hanging on my wall, The mesh sits between the grille bars and radiator, I will post a photo shortly.
  3. Well it was very easy, statement of facts, four photos, $86 and out the door with new plates in hand. Two weeks later a new title arrived in the mail.
  4. My brother in law has the same issue, there has to be a source out there that can get these dialed in with relative ease.
  5. Anybody know of or have a Model A roadster body to sell?
  6. I am mainly looking for lower priced (projects) nothing above $7000. thanks
  7. Looking for any make pre 1941, in need of restoration or major project car or just the body. Must be a roadster not a cutoff sedan or coupe. Know of anybody that has something like this lying around that they may want to sell? Thanks Todd email or call 218-349-9547
  8. Found some pretty good deals at the show (a full van load) , a lot of venders pulled stakes on Friday. I sure did get a workout and so did the boy scout who hauled out my parts (gave him a nice tip). I sure do wish most vendors would mark prices on their wares they miss out on a lot of sales by not doing so. Favorite ride there was a 29 Desoto roadster I would love to get and just missed on the 37 Hudson Terraplane and could not make a deal on the Model A Cabriolet rust that was for sale. Other than that not much project tin for sale. I could only load 20 photos in this post
  9. I just saw the film, what got me was how beat up looking the Model A's were for being two years old and that radio in the the 32 Ford Roadster. Still nice to see a movie with alot of old cars.
  10. Here are a couple other things, flares, switches, is that a coil tester?? floorboard metal for??? round rods for??? any value to the flares?
  11. The tanks are 6 1/4, 5 1/2 x12inch, the coil is marked 6volts. Now two Windshields and a seat I can not identify and that strange part with the pin that goes in and out.
  12. Found all these parts and seats on Craigslist, can anybody help with identification of them. The previous owner was supposedly into A's and T's.
  13. Found a hole bunch of rims, seats, and small parts off a Craigslist ad, Can anybody Id the unknown (at least to me) small parts and the hood. Too bright out right now to get good photos of the rest. Thanks
  14. Awesome photo, I stared at it for a long time taking in the history, clothing, and wondering if the car survived or parts of it.. Interesting for you researching the people in the photo.
  15. Yes it was from MN but I had no paperwork to prove it just my afidavit, it would be great if owners of antique cars would all start the title process in their state in case they decide to sell. That's good to know about the out of state vehicles so next time I come across a deal I will see if I can get the seller to initiate the title process.
  16. Does any body know if Chrysler had a 27 Phaeton?
  17. Just got a title in Minnesota fo a 37 Ford with no previous paperwork, took 4 photos filled in the paperwork, cost $73 and walla two weeks later a fresh title in the mail.
  18. Don't mess with a reserve, lots of people will pass it right up instead use a starting price that you are willing to accept and if there is good interest the bids may get way up there. You could also add on a buy it now for a little extra. Only accept a small, say $200 paypal deposit then do bank to bank wire transfer or cash. Make sure you state the deposit is non refundable. Posy lots of photos and be available to answer questions. And if it is a classic announce it here to generate interest.
  19. I must be missing something but why on earth did automakers and they still do go with drum brakes, they can not be cheaper to make with all the parts involved. I just think of this every time I have to do a rear break job which really sucks compared to front discs.
  20. I am trying how to determine US built or Canadian built model 60, what tag would be on the firewall for Canadian made or... There is no FEDCO plate on the dash and looks to have never had one, there must be a way to determine this? Thanks
  21. Is there a way to tell if it is Canadian built without a FEDCO tag, maybe off the frame numbers....??
  22. So what information can be found from the frame number, is it used for the VIN number in the absence of a FEDCO plate or would you use the engine number?
