  1. National Film Preservation Foundation: Dodge Motor Cars (ca. 1917)
  2. Thanks jpage, that's a great tip and exactly what I am hunting for....wonderful!
  3. Hi Curt, Here would be great or in your personal profile- whatever you wish. Many thanks, Jim
  4. Dodge Brothers, I am copying this thread from the buy/sell in case folks don't look there- Does anyone have a lead or source for an assist cord/strap for a '28 Dodge or any similar year car. Would prefer a cord and not the plainer Model A strap. Thanks, Jim<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
  5. Does anyone have a lead or source for an assist cord/strap for a '28 Dodge or any similar year car. Would prefer a cord not the Model A strap. My car was gutted. Thanks, Jim
  6. If I was near California- I'd be bringing a trailer. Bummer.
  7. Curt, I am fascinated by the old Velies and didn't know a 1912 existed, can you post a pic of your car for us, please! I may also have a source for some Velie parts- not sure but possibly. Thanks, Jim
  8. You are correct- if I had used a period fabric or style I could use windlace, but since I went with black grained vinyl I limited my options. I just wanted to see if anyone knows of any grained vinyl tape. Thanks, Jim
  9. I have a '28 Dodge that is a bit of a rough project- someone had ripped out the entire interior and then discarded it. I chose to create my own panels in a black vinyl and am about finished- the question I have is about something to cover seams & edges that may not align perfectly. Can't use hidem in places without wood. Is there any sort of black vinyl grained tape to apply to a few spots? Since the interior isn't original- I am open to ideas. I tried friction tape, which had a nice cotton texture, but just doesn't stick very well enough. Thanks- Jim
  10. I am looking for foot rest hardware for my old Dodge Sedan- if you have some ends available, please email me at: anteekguy97@aol.com Thanks, Jim
  11. Does anyone know if these are being reproduced?
  12. Jason, I see what you mean- a whole new and covering panel mounts above the rear view mirror. My metal panel, as you can see from the 1st pic, is rusty and any screw holes are long gone, so I am working on figuring out how to nail the headliner to the front and get that covering panel to stay in place...not an easy task. I may try and drill/tap some screws or small bolts to it.
  13. The other benefit of that is an engraver can use any sort of serif you wish- very flexible.
  14. So, are you guys saying that I am missing a wooden tacking strip that gets affixed along the top of that panel?
  15. I'd stamp it myself- just strike it lightly and then smear some dust and dirt in the stampings to make them darker and stand out.
  16. This is an image of the front panel of my '28 Vic 6- preparing for headliner installation. How does the headliner get affixed to the front panel? Glue, tack to something or is something missing here? Thanks, Jim
  17. That's what I kinda figured, but I thought I'd try anyway. I'll have to work from scratch on my car.
  18. Great looking puller- I was able to borrow one and am all set now. Thanks!!!
  19. Thanks, I did take a look but didn't see anything Dodge at all when I got to the "choose your vehicle" screen. Has anyone gotten panels from this source?
  20. Ahhh, so it is a left/right switch to lock and unlock, right? I have a diagonal open channel and assumed the lever was frozen but maybe that was a positional adjustment slot for the factory? Hmm, I'll start to look at Ebay. Please verify that the switch turns left and right on your car as it appears. Many, many thanks. Jim
  21. A pic is worth a thousand words, Gents, but thanks for the descriptions regardless.
