Very cool and great find! The motor has very good power and runs smoothly, As one used to a Model T, this is a very peppy power plant.

Bob, I don't exactly know the displacement so I tried to quickly research it. The model number is an 83B model Overland.

Hmmmm, that's a toughie. I found 153.4 cubic inches, producing 30hp. Maybe that helps you?

The head on the Continental motor sure looks very similar to a Model T removable head. Yes, I am a semi-regular guy and the car is still for sale.

(SOLD) 1920 Dodge Brothers Model 30 Touring car for sale. Very nice older restoration (late 80's) in deep blue with black interior. Solid car with newer upholstery, roof and had a full engine rebuild with 500 miles on it.- strong driver. I have the paperwork from the rebuild. All fluids have been changed, has good transmission & brakes, plus wind-wings and visor, Good tires & tubes. (33x4), and had recent carb rebuild from sitting.

Thanks guys, yesterday I decided to pull the feed tube in the tank and clean it out. It wasn't stopped up but once I returned it and hit the fuel pump, the carb bowl filled up instantly. Prior to that it was spitting and gurgling into the carb, never really filling beyond an inch or so, but now the pump is filling smoothly and fast- so maybe a chunk of gunk or something was blocking the intake of fuel. So, I resealed the uptake tube in the tank and will test again today. I may need a regulator for the fuel but at least some movement was happening in the fuel line.

I contacted Tom and even bought a new metering pin off of him, new gaskets and all. My car idles well but put her under load and she bucks and stalls- no gas to power it. I think the internal piston is not moving under vacuum to power the car. That's my guess because even fully "choked" or with the metering needle pulled wide open, I can't get the car to run under load. it hesitates, pops and bucks. But take it out of gear and she idles beautifully. It has a fuel pump so that's not the issue.

My 1920 Dodge Bros Stewart Detriot Lubricator carburetor is giving me fits. I am either looking for a rebuilt one (J2B5 model) or someone who rebuilds them, I'd be willing to pay for one in good working order. Please let me know, James Chochole 630-608-3978

Resolved: my metering pin broke free from the carb being sticky and varnished from sitting for years. I peened and soldered the brass washer and metering pin back together and rebuilt the carburetor and the car fired right up again. So, the weak spot of the Stewart Detriot Lubricator is that somewhat delicate metering pin; once the connection weakens it will separate washer from post and then the car won't start. Thanks to all who helped and to Myers Early Dodge for an extra metering pin in better shape than my existing one.

My 1920 Dode Brothers carburetor is missing the very bottom metering pin to raise the dash pot and get gas into the motor, does anyone have spare parts or a carburetor for parts for sale? Carb is a J2B5 model. Thanks, James

It no longer has a vacuum tank, it now has an electric pump.

My 1920, which I recently got, runs great with gas directly into the cylinders. But I can't seem to draw gas from the carb. I have fuel up to the float bowl and that's as far as I can get; I removed the carb and no gas residue drawing into the engine/ I am stumped- when I crank it manually I can hear a hissing sound from a valve inside but is that enough to prevent a start and drawing gas? But as I said, it runs smoothly and nicely once I get gas directly to the cylinders. Stumped, Jim

Here is a nice running and driving 1927 Dodge Brothers Sport Roadster for sale. Original inline 4 cylinder motor with 3-speed manual transmission. Good brakes and has an added fuel pump and new wiring. Good tires and tubes, but tires are older. All steel body and fenders, good gauges and recently had a tune-up and new plugs. No roof but has a rumble seat and even the side-mount spare tire. Clear open title, located in Oswego, IL. Need room for new project. Car is an older restoration. Asking 7500 obo.
