  1. Currently making a replacement toe board, this being RHD handed spare are few and far between. Can you conform the arrangement of the hand brake lever?? The first photo is of a LHD toe board, notice the cutout for the parking brake lever is to the right of the gear lever. Pic 2 is my RHD pedal box. What I have done is to mirror the toe board photo to get what I want (work from the right remembering it is a left hooker) but am I right in thinking I don't need to flip the parking brake slot.

  2. Chris provided I'm looking at the correct part it's a bit of a toughie, there is hardly any difference, what I did notice was that the outside edge had more angle to the side and the corner rad was slightly bigger. In the photos I took the right hand side bumper off to get a better look, the blue end is the front.

  4. These holes have the appearance of punched rather than drilled and inside they are not easy to run a nut on because of the cross brace, had there been 4, I would have guessed they might have been for emblems, vertical for Plymouth, horizontal for the Dodge Wings. Perhaps some one else will know, Thanks Mr T

  5. Hi Guys, just uncovered 3 holes 5/32" Ø these are on the rear panel just below the opening of the Rumble Seat. Has anyone have ideas of what should go there??

post-72422-143142460992_thumb.jpg The car is fitted with Dual Side Mounts and a Luggage Rack.

  6. The rear section of the trunk floor pan is almost ready to fit but does anyone know how the originals were attached, mine was removed by the previous owner. This panel goes behind the seat fixing, were they continuous welded, spot welded or screwed? Also what is the round hole for and does that have a cover plate?

    post-72422-143142440035_thumb.jpg

The gas tank valance bolts through the back return, the original pan is in post #1 photo 2

  7. Almost forgot the tail light stands for 33 PD.

NC sells the one without the license plate bracket but are long out of stock on the ones with the license plate bracket.

I am wondering if the brackets for right and left are the same just the bracket is attached to driver side?

Chris the stands are the same, what's different is the bucket fixing. Both have bucket fixings welded to them but of course one is round and the other is integral with the licence plate .

  8. Is it known if the floor pan used on the PD came from earlier models where that cover had a purpose, just a thought. My reason for asking was that if you take a line between the 2 uprights that support the parcel shelf it comes over top of the cover, now I am assuming that the panel behind the seat that divides the cabin from the rumble seat fixes to those uprights as shown in the photo below of a PE.

  9. Would $400.00 be a good price for a set (2) of the side-mount bars which are made from 316 stainless steel and polished for such cars ? Thank you. Erick

Hi Erick, I am in the process of looking to making the bars myself as I haven't had any luck trying to locate them, perhaps you can send me photos, you have email address ref luggage rack grommets.

    Thanks

  10. Anything with CPDD or Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge/DeSoto stamped on it has to be an authorized Chryco part. I don't know if Chrysler ,or MotorWheel, made their own hubcaps or not. I know CPDD bumpers for the first 10 or so years were made by the Weed Chain Co. who also made bumpers for Chevrolet. Most small parts like door handles etc. were made by an outside supplier same as today. I live near a company that makes "window frames" ,I've been told, for many of the major car makers. I got some plating done in Concord Ont. at Alpha Plating for my KCL and noticed a grille for Lincoln hanging on the lunchroom wall. They informed me they do all the front grilles for all Lincolns, Canada and U.S., and have for many years. I have a couple of aftermarket hubcaps, one with "Plmmmth" on it for 1934, and one for 1934/'35 Dodge with "Dooge" on it. I used to have a Ford cap(somewhere) with "Food" on it. It must of been quite common to buy these aftermarket copy caps back then. BTW a CPDD price guide I have shows 1933 caps at $1.30.

Thanks for the information, but would you have any idea what the 'R' means? post-72422-143142390933_thumb.jpg

    Chris

Hi Chris, loose fit coming on nicely, thanks for taking the time to post it up for us. Not sure if I have asked you this before but finally will there be a cover piece over the join between the gas tank apron and the fenders as in the photo below?

    post-72422-143142365902_thumb.jpg

or is that a different apron to the one we have

  12. Hi Scott thanks for the information, wkend didn't go to plan sorry. Regarding the difference in the 'B' hole position which is the locking hole I can play that by ear and put it in during assembly.

    Hi Scott

    have at it.

    Thanks.

Parts that will be for sale when I know what they are.

Dave I think you will find the cast brackets have pt. No. as mine below, have not checked the parts book but the Nos. are 612782/3

  13. Scott that information is brilliant and answers all my questions, it was the locking screw holes that were muddying the water, if you get time perhaps you could sketch-up the curved link which would make life a lot easier for me. Your comment on the different combinations would explain what all the other holes are there for. All I will be missing then is the Plymouth shield and the protection runners.

Thank you so much for your post.

  14. While looking through a box of parts I found the Left hand luggage rack bracket so that's part of the mystery solved but it brings another problem, I now have the Luggage Rack and the 2 brackets but NO linkage,so if somebody has a sketch or photos of the links and where they fit it would help. Not sure if the rack on a 34 Dodge was similar but I have found http://forums.aaca.org/f143/slow-progress-but-getting-there-331466-19.html Post # 463 although I can't get my head round how it would look in the laid down position because there are 2 holes at the front of the bracket that seam to be fixed to the same link preventing it from moving. Some time ago I tried to sort it using hardboard links but it's difficult without the body being on to judge the position.
