  1. Saw this one yesterday. Sold in one day.
  2. I guess Schenectady breeds nice Buicks. Car was picked from up there around 13 years ago now.
  3. I am looking for OEM mounting hardware for a 1956 Buick Roadmaster. My current hardware for generator and mounting brackets are all incorrect and mis-marked. I do NOT need the generator mounting stud. I am 8 minutes out of Saint Louis at 62206. Thank you, Matt.
  4. Hello, I have searched to no avail in an attempt to find out the stock exhaust diameter for a 52' Roadmaster. Both the exhaust and the tailpipe diameters. Any help is appreciated.
  5. I am in need of a 1956 nail-head (possibly other years) generator stud. This stud is a double ended stud with 3/8 fine thread on one end and 3/8 coarse thread that threads into the end of the passenger cylinder head on the opposite end. It helps fasten the long top generator bracket to the head. Mine broke due to a faulty generator bearing and i didn't realize it was a special bolt until after cleanup. Please let me know what you have as i am in need of one as soon as possible. Thanks, Matt Green rapidride2@sbcglobal.net
  6. When i rotate the switch the map light stays on. Sometimes i can get the light to go out if i push on the switch rather than slide it as it was intended to be used.
  7. Hello, Just yesterday my radio courtesy light is staying on and will not turn off by the switch under the dash pad. I'm having to disconnect the battery until i figure this out, Anyone have this problem? Any advice? Thanks.
  8. Yeah that's what I was thinking too. All other lights turn off. I may not check it out right now until I get the car out of storage at a later date. As for now I will be pulling the battery as it will be going on a 'battery tender' for a while.
  9. As of tonight, when I turn the headlight switch the light above the radio will not turn off. Any suggestions? Not sure if the switch needs to be cleaned or rebuilt? I'm also hearing this switch may be a real P.I.A. to remove for further inspection. Any truth to this?
  10. Right he charges $1.80 to $2.00 a linear foot depending on length of storage.
  11. Thanks Auburn. At $30-$33 a month it is enticing. I will check into other barrier options as well. Im thinking the oil and chipped rock (asphalt) would help prevent moisture.
  12. I was thinking i could always put some thick plastic sheeting under the car to prohibit moisture...
  13. Midwest. Saint Louis. It gets below freezing for at least a few weeks at a time.
  14. It is oil with chipped rock poured on top. Much what you see for rural roads. It is more cost effective than pavement for smaller communities.. I'm unsure of ventilation. The gentleman stated it is insulated.
  15. Hello, I am forced to put my deceased fathers' 56 Buick Roadmaster in storage for 3 to 6 months until issues with his estate are settled. The building I have found is close and very reasonably priced. It is a very nice, insulated, building, secure with owners living on the video-taped grounds. However the floors are 'oil and chip'. How will this flooring do in regards to preventing rust? Opinions? Thanks, Matt
  16. Yes I Have heard of Empire. They are selling a complete 3 piece branD new casting for the be 52 Roadmaster 4 barrel. SIT DOWN... for $3800.00

    Matt's Cars

These are some of the cars my father and I have owned throughout the years.
  18. Hmm not sure. Maybe Special Education will fill us in? I'm actually In Belleville, Illinois. Just 15 min away from Downtown S.T.L.
  19. I must admit. I am not confident in messing with 60 year old glass and trim. I'd really like to restore/replate my pitted window trim, install new rubber, and replace some bubbled glass. This seems like tedious work but when done properly i feel it does wonders for the detail of the car. I have a 2door. Is there anyone out there specializing in this work? I am in Saint Louis if that helps.
