Mars
1930 4dr sedan cf. Anyone ever check gas mileage. If my odometer is correct, I got 43.5 mpg. Doesn't seem right. I thought that inefficient straight 8 would really suck up the fuel. Can't be right.
keiser31
Is your speedometer calibrated?
Spinneyhill
Sir, how about using a title that reflects the subject? My Dodge 8 does 13.5 mpg with Tillotson carb. & 600 tires on the back, 11 mpg with the correct Stromberg carb. and big tires, and 10 mpg with 550 tires and the Tillotson on it (and lead boots because it is such fun with the correct size tires). These are UK gallons too. Perhaps check your distance with a GPS?
stooy
Our CF gets 16mpg (imperial) on a Holden 202 Stromberg carby. Being driven at 85kmh.
thehandleman
Always figure on 10 mpg and you will most likely never run out of gas, worst case, better safe then on the side of road. cheers ?
