Guest
This is from "Americar" on Facebook. I wondered if anyone here could identify the car being repaired?
keiser31
Looks like a Buick badge. Maybe a 1917 Buick Model D. The headlight bar location is a key. Edited May 23, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)
F&J
Looks like he is pulling the crank out. Love those early J hooks, I never knew how far back they went...and the massive size of those
Guest
Thank you. I thought it was a Buick but had no idea what year.
Spinneyhill
We have seen photos like that before with the car propped up on planks with another car on the crane.
Larry Schramm
I would vote for a 1918 Buick because of the fenders having a crown, not flat. '17 from my experience had flat fenders and the model change for '18 was rounded or crowned fenders. The rectangular radiator badge also screams Buick. I have a couple of the "J" hooks from an old dealer that up to the early 1980's was still using chain falls and J hooks for the service department to repair cars.
