JACK M
I read somewhere that there were only like 3 or 4 thousand of these built but cannot find that info now. Anybody have this number? I am thinking that I will sell this car in the not so distant future. I am going to try and get it running when it gets here later this week. It has dual side mounts which are not correct, but has 7 wheels and should have the side mount hardware.
keiser31
The number given shows it as being a 1934 DS. Serial numbers for the DS went from 4528651 to 4530400. It was called the Aero Brougham and they made 1,397 of them. Edited April 12, 2016 by keiser31 (see edit history)
Reg Evans
That's a nice one ! Why shouldn't it have dual side mounts ?
JACK M
Thanks for that John. The Dodge story calls it a Deluxe Series. I also heard it referred to as a Deluxe Special. Reg, the fenders have been changed, It has a rear mount. I don't have any idea if they were available with side mounts but these didn't come on it originally. Maybe the guy drove over nails and glass a lot. Anyway with all that said, they didn't make very many of them at 1,397. It is a121 inch wheelbase as opposed to the 117 inches on the DR's. Two models being the sedan and a convertible sedan. It is supposed to get here on Friday. If there is any interest shoot me a PM and we can talk. Of coarse I found another car that I like, and if it is still on the market I will sell this one.
