coast
When I rebuilt my motor I installed a larger cam, I think that is the right description? Well in doing so, I found that it does not create enough vacuum for the power brakes. I have a hard pedal.. I have found an easy solution which is to add a vacuum canister to fix the problem. The purpose of my post is to say, unless you really feel you need the added HP of a larger cam, I would always go back to stock. Really not a race car and really did not need the larger cam, just thought I would do it and now regret it. Not only the brakes but just the way it runs now, the surge when I put it in gear, rough idle etc.Just thought I would share my experience for any out there thinking of changing to a different cam.Bob
Rufcar
Bob mine is the same. I have a phrase I use for times like this in life that make it all better. "IT SEEMED TO BE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME"jim f

tenugent
Put a larger cam in my 425 on rebuild and still have same braking. Is this because of the larger vacuum canister on the 63?T.Nugent ROA 12969...
