Brandon Todd
I am in need of a decent driver's side rear bumper end for a 1957 Buick. It does not have to be show quality, but look decent/able to fix up. (Metal backing not totally gone)I know these are hard to come by, but I figured it was worth a try.I am mainly in need of a driver's side, but If you have both/only passenger please don't hesitate to let me know! Thank you for your time!-Brandon T.Missouri.

John_S_in_Penna
Aren't the Special-Century bumper ends different from the Super-Roadmaster bumper ends?[Edited 3/24/15: Brandon (above) says the rear bumper endsare the same for all series; it is only the center portion ofthe rear bumper that differs.] Edited March 24, 2015 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history)
John_S_in_Penna
Years ago (1980's or early 1990's), Rick Shnitzler from Narberth, Penna.was reproducing those bumper ends, casting them in aluminum. He also sold car literature. I don't know whether he's still around,or whether he could be contacted. Maybe he still has the molds!Perhaps the BCA's technical advisor for 1957 cars--or anyone else--has more information. lancemb
The ends are the same on all series; only the centers are different.I would not recommend an aluminum bumper end. Not only is it very soft, but it corrodes extremely easily and I'm not sure how well copper/chrome would adhere. I would weld up a spotty steel one any day before I did this.
