Centurion
Minichamps is currently offering a series of American dream cars in both 1/18 and 1/43 scale, and the quality and detail of these models is exquisite. Buick fans should be particularly thrilled by the series, and I've added the 1951 LeSabre and the 1954 Wildcat II.Last week, the 1953 Wildcat I arrived, and the model benefited from input by Joe Bortz. It's a fantastic replica!Sometime later this year, the 1956 Buick Centurion dream car will also be offered. The images here show the Wildcat I in 1/18-scale, and I've added the old Anson Buick Y-Job model to the mix as well.

Centurion
MrEarl, since I never attended a General Motors Motorama during the 1950's, I guess I'll have to re-create it in my garage!

Centurion
Dave Gelinas, you know, I think we should work through the model vendors to encourage Minichamps to consider producing a replica of the 1951 Buick XP-300 as well.

Dave Gelinas (XP-300)
Very enjoyable. You put an idea in my head to do a Wells Fargo model. Don't think one is out there, but would need a model of a 58 Limited convertible 1st, which is a tough find.. Several on eBay.http://www.ebay.com/itm/1958-Buick-Limited-Open-Convertible-1-18-Wells-Fargo-White-Top-Down-NEW-IN-BOX-/141365735373?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20ea0defcd Edited March 5, 2015 by xp-300 (see edit history)

Centurion
No, Dave. A company called "Motor City USA" produced a high-quality line of 1/43-scale American cars, including the 1949 Buick Roadmaster in convertible, Sedanette, Riviera hardtop, Estate Wagon, and Flxible professional car variants. The landau-style hearse and the other Motor City models have been out of production for several years. These models are now expensive and difficult to find. Dave Gelinas (XP-300)
This slide was taken by an amateur photographer. It is a very rare Kodachrome of the very rare Buick Wildcat I. It has has never been published to my knowledge and to the knowledge of some whose thoughts I solicited. It was taken at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in 1953. I was extremely fortunate to have been able to obtain it.I will be posting in other Buick forums so as many Buick fans can enjoy. So here it is..............
