caddyshack Posted February 3, 2012 Share Posted February 3, 2012 The first, or early "moterette" came with wire wheels and had a three hp motor. The improved "motorette" or "stanhope motorette" came with a five hp motor and artillery wood wheels in 1903. significantcars.com has a beautiful example of the 1903 Pierce stanhope.
