39 Zephyr trunk light and switch assembly

You probably already have this information, but here's what my 1939 Lincoln Zephyr body parts manual lists for the trunk light hardware:

96H-7045452 Anti-rattler (Luggage compartment switch)

40-13730 Bulb (luggage compartment light) 6 C.P.S.C.

HB-727720 Bracket (luggage compartment light switch)

HB-727719 Switch (luggage compartment light)

33169-S7 Screw (Sheet metal) ? No. 8 x ¼

HB-727716 Switch (luggage compartment light) and wire assembly

HB-727722 Wire (luggage compartment light and switch) assembly

H-77254 Socket (rear deck light) assembly

33169-S7 Screw (Sheet metal) ? No. 8 x ¼

If you are lucky enough to find a source for any of these parts, please share it with me.

I just got back from the Santa Maria LZOC swap meet. Jerry Emery was there and brought several pictures of his '39 Zephyr convertible, including a picture of the trunk light and switch. My car has NO remnants of these items, so I appreciated at least seeing a picture of them. That's probably as close as I'll ever come to the correct parts!

Dear Phil,Don't give up,i found em in Northern California.I believe it was standard equipment and all body styles had them so be patient they will turn up.You could ALWAYS pass the time by putting another coat of wax on your BEAUTIFUL 39 Convertible Coupe.

This is a much easier question. Where do you buy the six volt lights for the truck, the dome light, etc?

Also, for the trunk light, there are 3 '39's being parted out on the "Parts For Sale" site, sometimes those tend to stay too long on there, and are not viable, but may be worth a shot, Rolf

For the light bulbs, check out your local auto parts store. I was able to buy (six volt) #1157 for tail & stop light, #63 for license plate light, and whatever number it is for dash/parking lights at my local auto parts store (NOT Wal-Mart or Auto Zone).

Rolf, Where is this "parts-for-sale" site that's parting out the 1939 Lincoln Zephyrs? I didn't see any Lincoln parts at all on the AACA forum "for sale" site.

I have some of the parts and we reproduce the wiring harness. There's a different harness for closed cars and convertables. Most of these switches have been damaged inthe bake alight plunger are destroyed. These switches were used 37,38, and 39 only.
