Guest BCA42496
My 1950 Buick straight 8-70 series distributer is leaking from a front "vent" hole when running. I am told it is from too much blow-bye but I don't think this is the case. Any thoughts or help on a cure for this would be great. Thanks, Kirk. Dynaflash8
There is a gasket between the block and the distributor shaft. Have you checked to see if that is okay?

Maybe a compression check on all of the cylinders could be another possible diagnostic to run...
critterpainter
Check your crankcase vent on the left rear of the engine below the exhaust manifold. It could be plugged from never being cleaned or if the car has sat for a long period of time a "creepy-crawly" has built a nest in the road draft tube.Bill
