Rusty, all the chrome on the car is pot metal except the door spears and bumpers. I was told that during the Korean war that the pot metal was used instead of the stainless. Odd enough the Ply`s and Dodge`s used stainless and the top of the line, the Chrysler got stuck with the pot metal---so I was told---and the quality of the pot metal was poor also. What the hey!!! So I`ll keep looking.

Look for a man named Axelrod in Hemmings, he sells headlights and has a lot of them. I sent my reflectors to Vintage Lamp Repair and they aluminized them. They are just like a sealed beam now.

If you need me to find Axelrods address for you, I can. Good luck, Tim Wolfe

Rusty, no such luck---the 52 had the turn signal built into the bezel---then the fender spear fit into the bezel. I am sending 16 pieces of chrome to the platers over the winter, this includes the bumpers. I need one headlight bezel--drivers side and one rear tailight bezel--drivers side. Pieces good enough for replating, then it`s all done. Will have to re-finance the house to pay the bill---WHEW...........52er----by the way the article on the superchargers was very interesting!!!

I sympathise, I used to own a 1952 New Yorker. Now that battleship had a lot of chrome and almost all of it was pot metal.

Managed to find a few NOS pieces but the chrome was so poor they needed to be replated after they were on the car a year.
