Old Packard Carb What year and engine?

What year did this packard carb come off of and engine. I found this in a collection of old car parts and also I believe I have the cylinder heads for a 12cyl. packard.

Dan - cannot tell for sure by the picture, but the four hole mounting is 1927 or earlier.

The carb is newer than 1926 (3d series six or 2nd series 8)because the carbs from Packards in 1926 and earlier had fuelizer spark plugs in them. I don't see the spark plug in this carb.

I was told that the earlier ones did have a spark plug in them, never seen one. Here is some pictures of the six cylinder engine I found nearby, maybe a 1927? Also found nearby a 26-27 packard car all that was left was the frame, rear axle, springs, alum. floor board, drivers seat, and firewall. I am posting the pictures of the engine. All this stuff is for sale. Maybe its all tied together.

I can't see any number on the engine. It should be on the right upper front part of the crankcase. It would start with the letter U. If its a 1927 4th series six, the engine number would be in the range of U95007-U125012.

Would that be on the aluminum part or higher under the water pump?

Good question. Offhand I forget. But the numbers are pretty large.
