West Peterson
Malcomb Pray, the owner of that car, saw it at the New York Auto Show in 1939, when he was a kid. Pray gave me a book when I saw him in November, "Wheels: A Passion for Collecting Cars" by Stuart Leuthner. It has a whole bunch of interesting stories on owners and their garages and their passion for owning some of the greatest cars in the world. 1937hd45
West, That is a bit of history I never knew, the car was at many local shows as far back as the 1960's. That Gus Reuter paint job still looks good today!
alsancle
Definitely not odd. That car at auction would bring over 3 million.A.J.

1937hd45
Good to know I'm not the only one that would feel out of place at one of thise events, however I've worked on a few dozen cars that show up at them.

Barry Wolk
C'mon now West. You look pretty jazzy in that judge's jacket. You look right at home at a Concours.

Barry Wolk
Did I ever get it back? Hey West, when will the AACA have a class for shiny trailers?
West Peterson
No. I saw it in my car two days ago. I'd rather owe it to you, though, than for you to beat it out of me.
Barry Wolk
Even though my legs are longer, I don't think I could catch you. My wife would give you a good run for your money though. What a great visual.
