oldefar
Dear fellow antique car owners.Belive it or not, the "VIKINGS" are back. This time not with their viking-ships across the ocean, but with their American made antique automobiles shipped (again not with viking-ships)from Norway to the U.S. and cruising down Route 66 starting out in Chicago IL, ending up in Los Angeles Calif. Approx. 15 to 25 cars of different brands, including my friend and WPC Club member, mr. Oddvar Hansen and his girlfriend with their beautyful 1960 IMPERIAL Crown convertible. If there is anybody out there in the U.S. that wants to meet these guys and gals from Norway with their Norwegian registered cars on their way across the U.S. continent, be sure to visit www.cruise66.com Here you will see the cars, the Route, the places they visit and what dates they will be there. If you are an antique car owner, a person just interested, a company or a TV channel, newspaper, car magazine or whatever, be sure to check this one out. It may be a lifetime experience for you, as well as for them. GOOD LUCK! Einar. oldefar
I am really disappointed by so few of you whaching anything from outside your own country. Don't you have any interest of what's going on elsewher in the world. (exept for the war in Iraq of course) But this IS happening in your own country, just by other people than yourself doing it.Now you can see a lot of pictures from the trip all the way down Route 66. It's worth taking a look. A large ammount of Americans met up along the way.Einar in Norway.
Guest DavidCa
Sorry we missed you. We met Hans Hansson and son Jonas from Sweden one Saturday morning at Donut Derelicts in the city of Huntington Beach,California. We had a fun visit. They had just driven route 66 in their hotrodded 1965 Volvo. Scroll their pictures to see a picture of their hotrod next to our 1958 original Volvo. http://hanssonroute66.blogspot.comEach year we attend the annual Route 66 celebration in Kingman Arizona the first weekend in May. http://www.azrt66.comMaybe we should come to Norway for a tour.David

oldefar
Hey Guys.Isn't it fun to go on trips with your old car ? Long ones and short ones, just a Sunday trip or to a meet far away. Or just the "ritual" sunday drive. But how long, and how many of us can afford it with these neverending increases in the gas price. And if you just knew how much we pay here in Norway, guys. I can say for sure, that life would not be the same if I cant go for a ride in my old antique car. And to me, the sound from the V8 is sweeter than any music. Kepp on cruising, Einar.
