Bill Stoneberg
Now this is what I call a good looking Buick.Custom car enthusiast Richard Zocchi's candy peach '59 Buick Invicta, nicknamed Peaches & Cream, won the Custom d'Elegance award at the Goodguys All American Get-Together in Pleasanton, California, in March. The on-the-ground custom got a 2 1/4 inch chop by John Aiello. Art Himsl applied the peach with gold pearl paint that gives the big Buick it's nickname. Bob Divine covered the inside with peach and cream colored vinyl.

Centurion
Wow, I've got to admit that this thing looks pretty cool. It's not my style, but it's definitely a tasteful custom. Much better than most of the '59 abominations we've seen!
96roadmaster
I occasionally enjoy seeing modified cars. I kinda like the look of the chopped top, but I don't enjoy the grill of that car. Just my opinion though.
Guest invicta592
I have to agree, the grille does look slightly odd to me, but the rest of it is a stunning piece of work. Mind you, I've always thought that the 59 Buicks have the style and looks of a custom car from stock.
6219_Rules
That is a nice custom...I like it. The '58 grill is interesting, although I think I agree with the general opinion that it does not fit the flow of the rest of the car. But as for the general appearance...I love it!That roof line really takes to the chopped and channeled look. Very handsome. I'd like to see the engine. I hope its the original power plant. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Guest Skyking
I like the car but also think the grille is out of place. It's too square. They should have kept the stock grille.
Guest my3buicks
I think what bothers me more thant he grill is the square flat area under the headlights - I think if they would have extended the grill it would ahve looked better even.
96roadmaster
Are you guys sure that the car has a '58 grill? I just counted the squares and they look like a 16x5, totalling 80 squares. The 58's have a 160 square grill. It definitely is not a '59 grill either though. Maybe it was custom made for this application? It would not surprise me if that's the case since this seems like a no-expense spared example.
Guest sintid58
Well if you have time to count the rows on that car you must have too much time on your hands. You can come over to my house and polish the grill on my
96roadmaster
My fingers get quite sore after polishing the grills on both our 58's. You may have to wait in line
Guest Skyking
Try polishing Skylark wire wheels........your fingers will hurt after one wheel.
heidigirl
typically, zocchi does nothing under the hood except clean and detail whatever is already there. i have not seen the car, but would be surprised if it was anything other than stone stock.
