38 Dodge brake part needed

I need 1 -1 3/8 steel inner wheel brake cyclinder cap for my 38 Dodge car front wheel. This is the part that the spring goes against. I gave the parts to a freind to rebuild and one came up missing. I can get the rubber cap seals but not the steel parts. Some one out there must have one they can sell me.

Bill, it must be the wheel cyl piston he needs as thats the only thing in a wheel cyl that is metal and has a spring touching it. BC

No no no...It's the metal "plate" or "cup" that comes between rubber and spring. I don't even know if it's necessary to it be there, but of course, it should be <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

You are looking for the cup expanders that go on the end of the springs. They are good to have but most of the time they are not necessary. The rubber cups today are superior to what was used 70 years ago. They do not come in the rebuild kits anymore. I have owned a 38 Dodge for the last 35 years and do not have the cup expanders.

Yes, it is the cup expander that I need. So it is one of those extra parts that really is not needed. Thanks for the advice. Anybody have problems when they left out this part?
