Mrbuick714
Have sold well over 200 ,one wire alternators. If you can belt up a one wire unit, hook the two large leads(from the regulator)together, use The big lead,(which was the "A" lead to the generator) to the one post on the alternator , and GO! Mr Riviera
My car is a 61 LeSabre and I was thinking of using a 65 Riv. Alternator bracket - should bolt on to the nailhead. Then installing the one wireAlternator. Will the charge idiot light function and do I just eliminate the rest of the wires? Thanks in advance. Maxwell P. Stone
Mr Riv,In addition to the other comments, I bought a re-built alt for a 70's Chevy Pickup and didn't have to pay a lot - I believe about 30.00 at O'Reilly's autoparts, it works great - but I don't need high amps, 65 works fineMax
