Showing car with non-stock interior.

JTFord, a "new member" instituted this thread. Please continue assistance to his original query. (ALK decided to end his contributions. His decision.)

Thread subject:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">I'm a new member of AACA and I have a 49 Ford convertible. The car has been restored before I purchased it. The interior of the car is not stock but everything else is. Can the car be shown at a meet, maybe the DPC class? </div></div>

Thanks in advance,

Peter J. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Yeah you're right Peter. I'd overlooked the original post. I'd never want to turn anyone away. It seemed for a minute like AlK had a problem with something and I was only trying to give him solutions to it. Nothing against anyone or their thoughts, rather than an attempt to educate. SORRY

To the best of my limited knowledge on the subject of the DPC, a moderately non authentic interior [think upholstery style or material] would not cause the car to be disallowed, unless it were a complete interior removal and replacement in the street rod mode.

More knowledgable people please correct me if I am wrong. smile.gif

[DPC has standards? I thought it just had to have a valid license plate and get on the show field under its own power. ]

Yes, DPC has standards. For additional - and quality - information about the DPC class, please refer to the judging manual or feel free to ask specific questions.

Thanks, Brenda

Brenda ~ I think as a Forum Administrator you need to establish an E-mail address where you can be reached for off the forum contact or comment. smile.gif

Just my opinion. I could be wrong. smile.gif

Howard,

Good suggestion - I have now added my personal email to my postings. I will try this for a while and see how it works out.

Hope you had a great New Year!!!

OK - correction - my personal email address has been added to my profile, not my signature.

Send those cards and letters!
