Restorer32
Anyone know of a source for "rag joint" material as used on early vehicles? Often used as a flexible water pump or generator drive. Also sometimes used in drivetrains. Is there a better name for it?
Jay Wolf
Depends on how early I have used reinforced truck mud flap material on late teens cars and it worked well and looked like what they used in the late teens.

The Old Guy
Almost any farmer will have flat belting. Check the farm stores if you want new stuff.
nearchoclatetown
Restorer32, there's a conveyer belt company down close to Lancaster called Rubberworld. It's south of rt.283 close to Kellog's. They've got any flavor belting you could dream of.
Restorer32
Thanks for the advice. I've used various materials in the past, all of which worked. Apparently the original style thick impregnated canvas is not available.
