Guest
If I remember correctly, (40 years in the automotive business) the flywheel you got from them is for the Gran Sport, the flywheel you need is for the full size Buicks. The Gran Sports have the flat flywheel and the full size Buick nailhead engines had the stepped flywheel.Maybe with this information, they may be able to help you.Joe

Guest
I'll sell you a complete running motor with the correct flywheel. The flywheel you have will work but you will need the correct PP and disc. If the car is a full size,it will not get started moving as well because of the lighter FW. Peace WildBill

Ted "Wildcat65" Nagel
Bill, how would one tell if it is the correct pressure plate and disc? Would it be possible to rebuild one incorrectly? I'm having some slippage and chattering problems on my convertible. It may be an adjustment problem, as the clutch engages out really far. Any thoughts? Thanks. Guest
All you need is an 11 inch GM diapham pressure plate and use yure disc. It will have less peddle pressure and actually be a better setup. Be sure to line up the index holes on the PP so it will be properly balanced.

gungeey
When flip, curt responses are left by those asking for help, it can leave a sour taste in the mouth of the well intentioned. Just goes to show you...Some people, you just can't do enough for! Don't let it get you down, MartinSr, WildBill. PS...I can see why Poston's had a hard time with the guy??!!
