LARRYCAROL Posted August 29 Share Posted August 29 In a pinch you can always static time it. Roll engine over by hand and line up the timing mark. Remove distributor cap. Loosen distributor & retard . Turn on key and advance till points spark, tighten distributor and replace cap. We used this method on old VW beetles.
