DB26
Thank you. I guess I’ve never noticed that fact about the company. I wonder who those other Dodge Brothers were.
30DodgePanel
According to this link showing interior of the plant, they did say Dodge Bros on fire alarms. Dodge Hamtramck Plant Various Photos (dodgemotorcar.com)

30DodgePanel
I have seen it written somewhere that the term Dodge Bros was not to be used on any letterhead or advertisement at one point. I can't recall if it was instructions in a confidential bulletin or a letter to dealers or something similar... I think that may have been what Doug was referrering to earlier. If I find it I'll post it. Edited June 2 by 30DodgePanel (see edit history)
nearchoclatetown
You are right. I quoted something without listing chapter and verse where I read it. It's in either the Confidential papers or Important Information papers plus Hyde's book that letters or even checks were sent back or thrown away if it did not list both brothers names or did not use use Dodge Brothers with a capital letter B. The brothers had no control after 1920, many things were done differently then they would have approved. The picture of the interior of the factory was taken in 1980. Any idea when the alarm was made?
30DodgePanel
According to this site Gamewell Police and Fire Alarm Boxes At dcaptain.com it is 1910-1928 (approximately). Scroll a little less than half way down the page to see this one. Edited June 2 by 30DodgePanel (see edit history)
